Background: Accurate prediction of short-term mortality in patients with acute pulmonary embolism (PE) is critical for optimizing treatment strategies and improving patient outcomes. The Pulmonary Embolism Severity Index (PESI) is the current reference score used for this purpose, but it has limitations regarding predictive accuracy. Our aim was to develop a new short-term mortality prediction model for PE patients based on deep learning (DL) with multimodal data, including imaging and clinical/demographic data.

Background: Cervical fixation is a common treatment for conditions like vertebral fractures, osteosarcoma, osteomyelitis, arthritis, and congenital disorders. The study was designed to assess the occurrence of high-riding vertebral artery (HRVA), narrow C2 pedicles (NC2P) and ponticulus posticus (PP), which pose risks of injuring vertebral artery (VA) during screw placement in cervical fixation procedures.
Methods: The study examined the prevalence of HRVA, NC2P and PP in 382 pedicle sides of the C2 vertebra using computed tomographic angiography scans.
Background: Obesity can lead to increased airway resistance, especially in the peripheral airways. Impulse oscillometry (IOS) may detect small airway changes in asthma. In this study, we aimed to investigate the effect of obesity on the small airways of the lungs in asthmatic patients by IOS measurements.

Background: This study aimed to compare the efficacy of CDK4/6 inhibitors plus endocrine therapy in two groups of patients with HR-positive/HER2-negative metastatic breast cancer: those with symptomatic, high tumor burden disease and those with asymptomatic disease.
Design And Methods: This retrospective study included 193 patients who received either ribociclib or palbociclib in combination with first-line ET. Patients were divided into symptomatic and asymptomatic groups and compared regarding baseline characteristics and progression-free survivals (PFS).

Background: Exercise is a key component of axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA) management. As telerehabilitation has become a viable solution for delivering remote care, the effectiveness of core stability exercises via this method remains under-researched.
Aim: To compare the effects of telerehabilitation-based synchronous versus asynchronous core stability exercises on core muscle endurance, spinal mobility, disease activity, physical function, and quality of life in patients with axSpA.

Introduction: Conflicting evidence exists regarding the concurrent use of cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK) 4/6 inhibitors and proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) in the treatment of breast cancer. This study aimed to investigate whether PPI use interferes with the efficacy of CDK4/6 inhibitors.
Methods: This retrospective, multicenter, real-world study included 205 patients with hormone receptor-positive, HER2-negative metastatic breast cancer.

Of the 4 molecular subtypes of endometrial cancer (EC), p53-abnormal (p53abn) EC is associated with abundant copy number alterations and the worst clinical outcome. Patients with p53abn EC have the highest risk of disease recurrence and death, independent of tumor grade and histologic subtype. Currently, all invasive p53abn ECs are considered high risk, and no prognostic biomarkers have yet been found that can aid in clinical management.

Multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C) is a rare condition following SARS-CoV-2 infection associated with intestinal manifestations. Genetic predisposition, including inborn errors of the OAS-RNAseL pathway, has been reported. We sequenced 154 MIS-C patients and utilized a novel statistical framework of gene burden analysis, "burdenMC," which identified an enrichment for rare predicted-deleterious variants in BTNL8 (OR = 4.

Purpose: Intrauterine device is one of the most preferred birth control method in the world. Being able to predict that the intrauterine device will not dislocate is very important in terms of preventing unwanted pregnancies. Here, we evaluated the role of uterocervical angle in displacement of intrauterine device and to determine whether it has a discriminative role for displacement.
