Comparison of high-pressure compression stockings and compression bandages for ulcer treatment in venous ulcer patients.

Objectives: This study aims to compare the effectiveness of compression bandages and compression stockings in the treatment of venous ulcers following venous ulcer surgery.

Method: A total of 170 patients who underwent venous ulcer surgery were included in this retrospective study. Patients were divided into two groups: the first group used compression bandages, and the second group used compression stockings.

Background: Janus kinase 2 (JAK2) V617F gene mutation is an important marker for the diagnosis of Philadelphia negative Myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN) which is subdivided into Polycythemia Vera (PV), Primary Myelofibrosis (PMF), and Essential Thrombocythemia (ET). The aim here is to investigate the JAK2 allele burden of the patients diagnosed with the subgroups of MPN and to demonstrate the alterations of hematological parameters and spleen size between diagnosis and 6 months of treatment.

Methods: A total of 107 patients with the diagnosis of MPN and negative Philadelphia chromosome, 51 males and 56 females with a mean age of 59,74 ± 16,41 years, were included in the study.

Real-life evaluation of incidence and clinical outcomes of COVID-19 among healthcare workers during pre-vaccination and post-vaccination periods: A cross-sectional impact study.

Introduction: We aimed to evaluate the prevalence and clinical outcomes of COVID-19 in healthcare workers (HCWs) in the pre-vaccination and post-vaccination periods. In addition, we determined factors associated with the development of COVID-19 after vaccination.

Methodology: In this analytical cross-sectional epidemiological study, HCWs who were vaccinated between January 14, 2021, and March 21, 2021, were included.

The Determination of Patient Learning Needs After Day Surgery: A Cross-Sectional Study.

A rare case of septic pulmonary embolism in co-existence with infective endocarditis and COVID-19.

Infective endocarditis (IE) symptoms including fever, fatigue, dyspnea and myalgia are similar in COVID-19 findings. Therefore, the diagnosis of IE may be missed in patients with COVID-19. Co-existence with IE in COVID-19 is rarely reported.

The study parameters obtained from the COVID-19 (group 2, and 3) at the early phase of hospital admission.

Nivolumab in metastatic renal cell carcinoma: results from the Turkish Oncology Group Kidney Cancer Consortium database.

The authors present real-world data on the efficacy and safety of nivolumab in patients with metastatic renal cell carcinoma (mRCC). The Turkish Oncology Group Kidney Cancer Consortium (TKCC) database includes patients with mRCC from 13 cancer centers in Turkey. Patients with mRCC treated with nivolumab in the second line and beyond were extracted from the TKCC database.

[Clinical Characteristics of Mild-Moderate COVID-19 Patients and Risk Factors for the Development of Pneumonia].

Limited data exists to date on the predictors for the development of pneumonia in patients with mild and moderate coronavirus (COVID-19). In this study, it was aimed to evaluate the demographic characteristics and clinical findings of mild and moderate COVID-19 and to determine the risk factors for the development of COVID-19 pneumonia in patients admitted to the pandemic outpatient clinic of a university hospital. A total of 414 patients with laboratory confirmed COVID-19 were included.

The aim of this study was to evaluate healthy lifestyle behaviors and the quality of life of obese individuals in 3-12 months after sleeve gastrectomy. The role of elastography in the assessment of chronic liver disease in children.

Background: Conventional ultrasonography is a method preferred for the investigation of chronic liver diseases in pediatric groups, as it is non-invasive, cheap, feasible and available. The purpose of this study is to present the role of Share-wave Elastography (SWE) in terms of diagnostic value in children diagnosed with "chronic liver disease."
