Stevens-Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis overlap is a rare but severe cutaneous hypersensitivity reaction that can lead to death if not treated aggressively and adequately. Drug-induced hypersensitivity reactions are often related to drug exposure, with sulfonamides, anti-epileptics, fluoroquinolones, cephalosporins, and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs being the most common culprits.
