The diagnostic role of testicular fatty acid-binding protein in testicular ischemia: A randomized controlled experimental study.

To investigate the diagnostic value of testicular fatty acid-binding protein (T-FABP) in acute testicular ischemia and prolonged ischemia. METHODS: The study included a total of 28 prepubertal male Wistar-Hannover rats. The animals were randomly divided into 4 groups as torsion groups (group I; min 30; 7 rats, group II; min 120; 7 rats, group III; min 240; 7 rats) and control group (group IV; 7 rats).

Some premature ventricular complexes (PVCs) originate from the coronary venous system. The great cardiac vein and the anterior cardiac vein are the most frequent localizations. The middle cardiac vein is an unusual anatomy for a point of origin for PVC.

Objectives: We researched to detect the optimal method for evaluating stone volume, by comparing the ellipsoid formula and 3D reconstructed volume to gold standard of water displacement volume using 3D printed models.

Methods: We retrospectively analyzed out patient database and evaluated 27 patients who had percutaneous nephrolithotripsy. From the DICOM data of patient's preoperative CT images, stone structures were obtained using an image identification system.

Entecavir is an oral reverse transcriptase inhibitor, which is widely used in patients with hepatitis B.

A new method to determine reflex latency induced by high rate stimulation of the nervous system.

High rate stimulations of the neuromuscular system, such as continuous whole body vibration, tonic vibration reflex and high frequency electrical stimulation, are used in the physiological research with an increasing interest. In these studies, the neuronal circuitries underlying the reflex responses remain unclear due to the problem of determining the exact reflex latencies. We present a novel "cumulated average method" to determine the reflex latency during high rate stimulation of the nervous system which was proven to be significantly more accurate than the classical method.
