Mushrooms are a valuable source of food and medicine that have been used for centuries in various cultures. They contain a variety of phytochemicals, such as terpenoids and polysaccharides, that exhibit diverse biological activities, such as antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anticancer, antimicrobial, immunomodulatory, and antidiabetic effects. However, mushroom's phytochemical composition and bioactivity vary depending on their species, cultivation conditions, processing methods, and extraction techniques.

Investigations on Pharmacokinetic/Pharmacodynamic Determinants of Fosfomycin in Murine Thigh and Kidney Infection Models.

Amidst the era of widespread resistance, there has been a renewed interest in older antibiotics such as fosfomycin, owing to its activity against certain resistant Gram-negative pathogens, including multidrug-resistant variants expressing extended spectrum β-lactamases or carbapenemases. The goal of the study was to investigate pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) index and PK/PD targets of fosfomycin in murine thigh and kidney infection models, employing clinical isolates of () and (). Seven isolates of (one wild-type and six clinical isolates) and five isolates of (one wild-type and four clinical isolates) were utilized for PK/PD studies.

Comparative bioleaching of metals from pulverized and non-pulverized PCBs of cell phone charger: advantages of non-pulverized PCBs.

Sample inhomogeneity is a severe issue in printed circuit boards especially when we are comparing the bioleaching efficiency. To avoid the ambiguous results obtained due to inhomogeneity in PCBs, 12 similar cell phone chargers (of renowned company) having same make and batch number were collected from scrap market. PCBs obtained from them were used in present studies.
