Background: Breast cancer commonly occurs in women, and male breast cancer makes up less than 1% of all cases of breast cancer. The limited prevalence of male breast cancer has led to decreased attention being paid to this condition, resulting in its diagnosis occurring at later ages and at more severe disease stages.
Objectives: This study evaluates the demographic and clinicopathological characteristics of male patients diagnosed with breast cancer who visited the northern region of Iran from 1992 to 2023.

As a major organ of the mononuclear phagocytic system, the liver is probably involved in all cases of brucellosis. In this prospective study, liver slides prepared from percutaneous liver biopsy samples of 20 patients with clinical and laboratory evidence of acute brucellosis due to Brucella melitensis were examined for the presence or absence of granulomas by pathologists in Iran and the United States. Nineteen men and one woman ranging in age from 14 to 62 years were studied.

Introduction: Duration of treatment for brucellar spondylitis in endemic regions is controversial. This study describes the outcome of treatment in 50 cases of brucellar spondylitis in Iran.
Methodology: From April 2001 to September 2010, we treated 20, 13, 11 and 6 cases with doxycycline plus rifampin (DR), streptomycin plus doxycycline plus rifampin (SDR), cotrimoxazole plus doxycycline plus rifampin (CDR), and gentamicin plus doxycycline plus rifampin (GDR), respectively.

Materials And Methods: Specimen including conventional GIC (Ionofil Molar AC Quick: IMACQ), hybrid ionomer (Fuji II LC), and composite resin (Heliomolar) were tested in a wearing machine. In this machine, a 6 kg load was applied via pressable chromium-cobalt bar at 5,000, 10,000, 20,000, 40,000, 80,000, 120,000 cycles.

From April 2000 to March 2010, 19 pregnant women with brucellosis were evaluated, treated and followed up. Ten (53%) pregnant women had spontaneous abortions. Six of eleven (55%) women infected in the first trimester had a spontaneous abortion.

Objectives: To compare the efficacy of gentamicin for 5 days plus doxycycline for 8 weeks with streptomycin for 2 weeks plus doxycycline for 45 days in the treatment of human brucellosis.
Methods: In each arm of the study, 82 patients older than 10 years randomly received 5 mg/kg gentamicin once daily for 5 days plus 100 mg of doxycycline twice daily for 8 weeks or 1 g of streptomycin intramuscularly for 2 weeks plus the same dose of doxycycline for 45 days. Therapeutic failure and relapse in these two treatment groups were compared.

Non-specific clinical presentations and paraclinical findings in osteoarticular brucellosis may mimic many other diseases and other causes of arthritis which could lead to misdiagnosis and mismanagement. We studied retrospectively the records of 232 patients with osteoarticular brucellosis who were admitted to the three teaching hospitals of Babol Medical Sciences University from April 2001 to September 2006. The distribution of osteoarticular involvement and their management were evaluated to determine if any cases had been misdiagnosed because of false negative serologic tests and who had, as a result, undergone inappropriate surgical interventions.

The aim of this study was to determine the efficacy of hepatitis B virus (HBV) vaccination and the response to vaccine in individuals on haemodialysis with and without HCV infection. From April 2000 to September 2003 all haemodialysis patients referred to the haemodialysis department in a Babol hospital received 4 microg vaccine intramuscularly at 0, 1, and 6 months. All were negative for HBV infection markers (HBcAb, HBsAg and HBsAb).
