Objective: Heart failure is a leading cause of death and the most common diagnosis leading to hospitalization. Its awareness is lower than that of other cardiovascular diseases, both in the general population and among patients with heart failure (HF). This study aimed to establish the current level of knowledge about HF in patients with HF with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) and mildly reduced ejection fraction (HFmrEF) in Türkiye.

Partial Nephrectomy Due to Renal Cell Carcinoma in a Patient Who Was a Prior Kidney Donor: Pitfalls About Living Kidney Donation, Case Report, and Review of the Literature.

Cancer development in the remnant kidney in living kidney donors represents a challenging process in terms of patient management. Total nephrectomy is the preferred method for tumors exceeding 7 cm in size. In the case presented here, partial nephrectomy was preferred because the patient was a prior living kidney donor.

Background: The coexistence of clinical atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia (AVNRT) and drug-induced type 1 Brugada pattern (DI-Type 1 BrP) has been previously reported. The present study was designed to determine the 12-lead ECG characteristics at baseline and during AVNRT and to identify a subset of 12-lead ECG variables of benefit associated with underlying Brugada syndrome (BrS)/DI-Type 1 BrP among patients with slow/fast AVNRT.

Methods: A total of 40 (11 numerical/29 categorical) 12-lead ECG parameters were analyzed and compared between patients with ( = 69) and without ( = 104) BrS/DI-Type1-BrP matched for age, female gender, body mass index, left ventricular ejection fraction and comorbid conditions.

The aim of this study is to determine the prevalence of AF among hospitalized patients with ADHF and describe the clinical characteristics and in-hospital outcomes of these patients with and without AF.

Sensorineural Hearing Loss in Selective Immunglobulin A Deficiency.

Objective: To assess hearing functions in pediatric patients with selective immunoglobulin A (IgA) deficiency (SIGAD).

Methods: Pure-tone audiometry, acoustic impedance, otoacoustic emission, and brainstem audiometric measurements were taken during a non-infectious period in 28 patients with SIGAD and 28 healthy children with normal otoscopic examination. The results of the hearing tests were compared between the two groups.
