Because only a small number of biomaterials and tissue engineering innovations have been translated into the clinic today, we hypothesized that this lack of translation is rooted in the psychology of surgeons and BS&orTE.

Purpose: Analysis of clinical and diagnostic findings in rare urogenital and perineal vascular malformations only occurring in 2-3 % of vascular anomalies with regard to clinical symptoms and treatment decisions.

Materials And Methods: All 25 out of 537 patients presenting with congenital urogenital and perineal vascular malformations at our institution from 2014 to 2021 were included. Severe traumatic spinal cord injury (SCI) results in a devastating and permanent loss of function, and is currently an incurable condition. It is generally accepted that future intervention strategies will require combinational approaches, including bioengineered scaffolds, to support axon growth across tissue scarring and cystic cavitation.
