Ectopic teeth, growing in abnormal locations like the maxillary sinus, are rare occurrences, with uncertain causes including trauma, infection, and developmental abnormalities. They often appear in the second or third decade of life, sometimes without symptoms. They are often missed as symptoms can mimic chronic sinusitis but may include sinonasal issues like obstruction and facial pain.

Background: The Government of Nepal initiated a family-based National Health Insurance Program (NHIP) in April 2016, aiming to ensure universal health coverage (UHC) by enhancing access to and utilization of quality health services. However, NHIP, in its initial years of implementation, encountered challenges such as low population coverage, a high dropout rate, and concerns among the insured regarding the quality of healthcare services. In contrast to acute diarrhoea, the aetiology of persistent digestive disorders (≥ 14 days) is poorly understood in low-resource settings and conventional diagnostic approaches lack accuracy. In this multi-country study, we compared multiplex real-time PCR for enteric bacterial, parasitic and viral pathogens in stool samples from symptomatic patients and matched asymptomatic controls in Côte d'Ivoire, Mali and Nepal. Among 1826 stool samples, the prevalence of most pathogens was highest in Mali, being up to threefold higher than in Côte d'Ivoire and up to tenfold higher than in Nepal.

We present a case of a 45-year-old male initially diagnosed with acute appendicitis, but intra-operative exploration revealed a perforated Meckel's diverticulum with a fish bone. Meckel's diverticulum perforation remains diagnostically elusive, highlighting the need for intra-operative vigilance in cases of inconsistent findings like the presence of bilious fluid in the abdominal cavity.

Adenoid ameloblastoma with dentinoid had been perceived as a rare odontogenic tumor with bridging histopathological features between ameloblastoma and adenomatoid odontogenic tumor. Due to the mixture of histopathological features of two separate and well-recognized entities, adenoid ameloblastoma was also regarded as a hybrid lesion. The diversity in the histopathological presentation among the cases has disaccorded the nature, behaviour, and prognosis of this pathology.
