In this work, we reported the synthesis of honey bee (Apis mellifera) venom-derived nanoparticles via a hydrothermal method. This method not only ensures the preservation of the bee venom's bioactive components but also enhances their potential stability, thus broadening the scope for their applications in the biomedicinal field. The synthesis method started with the homogenization suspension of bee venom, followed by its hydrothermal process to synthesize bee venom nanoparticles (BVNPs).

Article Synopsis
  • - Abiotic stresses, intensified by climate change, cause significant crop yield losses globally by generating harmful reactive oxygen species (ROS) that disrupt plant cellular processes.
  • - Plants have developed antioxidant systems and non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs), such as miRNAs and lncRNAs, which play critical roles in regulating stress-related genes and defending against abiotic stress.
  • - The review explores how ncRNAs regulate plant responses to abiotic stresses through ROS homeostasis and discusses their potential applications in improving agricultural resilience.

Nanomaterials have attracted more curiosity recently because of their wide-ranging application in environmental remediation and electronic devices. The current study focuses on zinc oxide nanoparticles' (ZnO NPs) simple production, characterization, and applications in several fields, including medicinal and photocatalytic degradation of dyes. The non-aqueous-based reflux method is helpful for ZnO NP synthesis; the procedure involves refluxing zinc acetate dihydrate precursor in ethylene glycol for 3 hours in the absence of sodium acetate, in which the refluxing rate and the cooling rate are optimized to get the desired phase, and the unique morphology of polyol-mediated ZnO NPs; it has been achieved using the capping agent TBAB (tetra-butyl ammonium bromide) and precursor zinc acetate dihydrate.

Objective: Previous research has demonstrated that individual risk of mental illness is associated with individual, co-resident, and household risk factors. However, modelling the overall effect of these risk factors presents several methodological challenges. In this study we apply a multilevel structural equation model (MSEM) to address some of these challenges and the impact of the different determinants when measuring mental health risk.

The majority of the global labor force works in firms with fewer than 50 employees; firms with fewer than 250 employees make up 99% of workplaces. Even so, the lack of extensive or comprehensive research has failed to focus on occupational safety and health communication to these small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Given that the magnitude of all occupational safety and health (OSH) morbidity, mortality, and injury disproportionately occurs in businesses with fewer than 250 employees, efforts to communicate with employers to engage in preventative occupational safety and health efforts merit attention.

Cyclopentyl-pyrimidine based analogues as novel and potent IGF-1R inhibitor.

Eur J Med Chem

March 2015

Department of Medicinal Chemistry, Piramal Enterprises Limited, Goregaon (East), Mumbai 63, India. Electronic address:

A series of novel 2-amino-4-pyrazolecyclopentylpyrimidines have been prepared and evaluated as IGF-1R tyrosin kinase inhibitors. The in vitro activity was found to depend strongly on the substitution pattern in the 2- amino ring, 4-pyrazolo moieties and size of fused saturated ring with the central pyrimidine core. A stepwise optimization by combination of active fragments led to discovery of compound 6f and 6k, two structures with IGF-1R IC50 of 20 nM and 10 nM, respectively.
