Clinical profile of 1208 newly diagnosed colorectal cancer patients in Tamil Nadu-A multi-centric survey.

Background: An increasing incidence of colorectal cancer (CRC) is being reported in developing countries, including India. Most Indian studies on CRC are retrospective and single-centered. The present study is an attempt to understand the current clinical profile and stage of newly diagnosed CRCs across multiple centers in Tamil Nadu, India.

Objective: The objective is to comparatively assess the impact strength and flexural strength of polyether ether ketone (PEEK) vs. computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) polymethyl methacrylate denture base material.

Methods: A total of 90 samples were fabricated with traditional heat cure PMMA, PEEK, and CAD/CAM PMMA and divided into three groups of 30 samples each.

Impact of COVID-19 on heart failure hospitalization and outcome in India - A cardiological society of India study (CSI-HF in COVID 19 times study - "The COVID C-HF study").

Objectives: The presentation and outcomes of acute decompensated heart failure (ADHF) during COVID times (June 2020 to Dec 2020) were compared with the historical control during the same period in 2019.

Methods: Data of 4806 consecutive patients of acute HF admitted in 22 centres in the country were collected during this period. The admission patterns, aetiology, outcomes, prescription of guideline-directed medical therapy (GDMT) and interventions were analysed in this retrospective study.

The emerging interest in the field of coordination chemistry and their biological applications has created a novel impact in the field of chemical biology. With this motivation, in this work we have synthesized a novel benzimidazole derived imine ligand, 2-((E)-((1H-benzo[d]-2-yl)methylimino)methyl)-4-fluorophenol () and its Co(III) and Cu(II) complexes. The metal complexes (-) were synthesized in 2:1 (: metal ion) and 1:1:1 (: metal ion: 1,10-phen) ratios.

Novel tamarind seed gum-alginate based multi-particulates for sustained release of dalfampridine using response surface methodology.

The current study involves development of novel tamarind seed gum - alginate complex microspheres for sustained release of dalfampridine by using Central Composite design in combination with response surface methodology. Polymer ratio (A), agitation speed (B) and concentration of CaCl (C) were selected as independent variables. Dalfampridine loaded microspheres are prepared by ionotropic gelation technique and were evaluated for responses.

An integrated approach for the management of diabetic foot ulcer: a case report.

Diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) are the results of the combined effects of diabetes-related vascular disease and neuropathy. DFUs are responsible for more hospitalizations than any other complication of diabetes. It can impair patients' quality of life and affect social participation and livelihood.
