Background Melanoma, the most lethal form of skin cancer, contributes to a majority of skin cancer fatalities globally. It carries a grim prognosis with a high propensity for early metastasis. People are not aware of moles, their natural course of progression, and skin self-examination.

A Case of Recurrent Pemphigus Foliaceus Following Noncompliance to Medication.

Pemphigus foliaceus (PF) is a rare autoimmune blistering disorder requiring consistent immunosuppressive therapy for management. A 66-year-old male with a history of PF presented with worsening blisters and erosions after discontinuing medication. The patient had flaccid bullae and erosions on the face, scalp, chest, and back.

Anxiety and depression among various blood groups of undergraduate medical and physical therapy students.

Objective: To access the frequency of depression and anxiety among the various blood groups of medical and physiotherapy students.

Method: A cross-sectional study on 215 MBBS and DPT students was conducted at Aziz Fatimah Medical and Dental College (AFMDC) from November 2022-May 2023. Google Form containing sections for relevant information concerning participants and fourteen items- Hospital anxiety and depression Scale (HADS) questionnaire for evaluation of anxiety and depression, was administered among the MBBS and DPT students through social media.

Methods: The systematic review was conducted from April to September 2022, and comprised search on PubMed, Web of Sciences, Scopus, Science Direct and Google Scholar databases for relevant studies published in English language between January 1, 2000, and June 30, 2022. COVID-19 and Cardiovascular Diseases: A Literature Review From Pathogenesis to Diagnosis.

The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) took the world by storm after the first case of COVID-19 emerged in China on December 8, 2019. The disease is generally considered as an infection of the respiratory system, but serious life-threatening myocardial injuries have been reported with this infection. Coronavirus can damage cardiac myocytes by entering the cell through angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE-2) receptor binding.

Relationship of surfactant protein-D with random blood glucose and extra pulmonary infections in type-2 diabetes mellitus.

Objectives: To compare surfactant protein-D levels in type 2 diabetics and non-diabetics, and to explore its link with random blood glucose and extra-pulmonary infections.

Methods: The case-control study was conducted in 2012-13 at the Dow University of Health Sciences, Karachi, and comprised diabetic cases and non-diabetic controls. Bacteria are the commonest etiological factor among the microbes that cause UTIs. Objective: This study was aimed to determine and compare the frequency of the emotional disturbances, anxiety and depression among the medical students on Hospital Anxiety Depression scale (HAD) score among the hostelites and day scholars.

Methods: This cross sectional study was conducted at a private medical college in Faisalabad, Pakistan, from March 2019 to April 2019, comprising of 105 male and female students. Validated Hospital Anxiety depression scale (HAD-A and HAD-D) was used to collect data from 1st year and 2nd year MBBS students in order to evaluate anxiety and depression among them.

A Novel Method of Quantifying the Choriocapillaris in Normal and Post-inflammatory Eyes.

Objective: To assess the reliability and validity of gray level co-occurrence matrices (GLCM) in the quantification of choriocapillaris and describe GLCM features in normal and eyes with resolved acute posterior multifocal placoid pigment epitheliopathy (APMPPE) and serpiginous choroiditis (SC).

Methods: In this, multicenter, reliability, validity and comparative study; OCTA was performed on eyes with resolved APMPPE and SC and normal individuals. CC texture classification, low flow area measurements and GLCM feature extraction were performed.
