Herein, we describe a novel coupling between ambiphilic 2-pyridylselenyl reagents and nitriles featuring an active α-methylene group. Depending on the solvent employed, this reaction can yield two distinct types of cationic pyridinium-fused selenium-containing heterocycles, 1,3-selenazolium or 1,2,4-selenadiazolium salts, in high yields. This is in contrast to what we observed before for other nitriles.

Background And Objectives: Electroencephalography (EEG) signals, often termed the letters of the brain, are one of the most cost-effective methods for gathering valuable information about brain activity. This study presents a new explainable feature engineering (XFE) model designed to classify EEG data for violence detection. The primary objective is to assess the classification capability of the proposed XFE model, which uses a next-generation feature extractor, and to obtain interpretable findings for EEG-based violence and stress detection.

Purpose: Growing evidence has suggested that the consumption of chia seed can decrease blood pressure and obesity in adults. However, even studies have reported uncertain findings. The current meta-analysis aimed to assess the findings of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) on the efficacy of chia seed supplementation on blood pressure (systolic blood pressure [SBP], diastolic blood pressure [DBP]) and body composition (waist circumference [WC], weight, body mass index [BMI]) in adults.

This research aims to examine the interrelationship between green finance and its influence on the renewable energy industry in a sample of 30 developing nations from 1990 to 2018. The main aim of this study is to investigate the interconnected effects between green bonds, investments in renewable energy, and carbon markets, with a specific emphasis on the influence of the banking system in shaping these interrelationships. To accomplish this objective, the Generalized Method of Moments (GMM) is utilized to examine the data and comprehend the intricate interrelationships among the variables.

The aim of this study is to examine the protective effect of oxyresveratrol (OXY) against isoproterenol-induced myocardial infarction in rats, through routine biochemical parameters and oxidative stress parameters that show heart damage. Oxyresveratrol was administered by oral gavage at doses of 10 and 20 mg/kg, respectively, once a day for 5 days. On the fourth and fifth days, 180 mg/kg isoproterenol was administered intraperitoneally to the OXY treatment group and control groups.

Skin injuries, such as burns, can result in an open wound that can lead to the deterioration of the skin, which acts as a protective barrier against external agents, and can cause serious health problems. Pectin, a plant-derived polysaccharide, is a suitable candidate for wound care due to its gel-forming ability and biocompatibility. Pectin absorbs wound exudates to form a soft gel and is known for its strong anti-inflammatory efects.
