Background: Atherosclerosis, a chronic inflammatory disorder of the arteries, is responsible for the greatest number of deaths in westernized societies, with numbers increasing at a marked rate in developing countries. Coronary calcium score (CCS), carotid intima-media thickness (CIMT) and pregnancy-associated plasma protein A (PAPP-A) are predictors for the development of atherosclerosis.
Objectives: This study was aimed to investigate the relationship between CCS, CIMT and PAPP-A for earlier diagnosis of atherosclerosis.

Rubinstein-Taybi syndrome (RSTS) is a developmental disorder characterized by a wide spectrum of multiple congenital anomalies and cognitive impairment. RSTS is primarily due to mutations in CREBBP (approximately 55% of cases) or EP300 (approximately 8% of cases) genes. A 2 month-old boy had atypical facial findings such as low anterior hairline, triangular face, hirsutism on forehead, down-slanting palpebral fissures, beaked nose, broad nasal bridge, triangular mouth and pointed chin and skeletal finding including broad great thumbs and halluces, and accessory nipple.

Digital nerve injuries are the mostly detected nerve injury in the upper extremity. However, since the clinical phenomenon of crossover innervation at some degree from uninjured digital nerve to the injured side occurs after digital nerve injuries is sustained, one could argue that this concept might even result in the overestimation of the outcome of the digital nerve repair. With this knowledge in mind, this study aimed to present novel, pure, focused and valuable clinical data by comparing the outcomes of bilateral and unilateral digital nerve repair.

Objectives: The aim of the present cross-sectional study was to compare clinical periodontal findings as well as gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) and serum levels of tumour necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), interleukin-10 (IL-10), and IL-33 between women with and without gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM).
Methods: Serum and GCF samples were collected, full-mouth recordings comprising plaque index, bleeding on probing and probing depth were performed in 96 females with GDM (cases) and 65 non-diabetic pregnant females (controls). Age, smoking status, pre-pregnancy body mass index, pregnancy outcomes were recorded.

Objective: One of the frequently encountered disorders of wound healing following laryngectomy is pharyngocutaneous fistula. However, although studies have been performed with the aim of prevention of pharyngocutaneous fistulae, there are very few studies with tissue adhesives and platelet-rich plasma. In this study, our aim was to investigate the histopathologic changes in wound healing caused by various tissue adhesives and platelet-rich plasma, together with their effects on prevention of pharyngocutaneous fistula.

Objectives: The present report describes patients with acute ST-elevation myocardial infarction who had at least two lesions in the culprit vessel (CV) during primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Here, we aimed to examine two different strategies, namely, PCI of only culprit lesion (CL) versus PCI of all lesions in the CV in the setting of acute ST-elevation myocardial infarction.
Patients And Methods: Patients who underwent primary PCI were examined for the presence of an additional lesion in the infarct-related artery and divided into two groups according to the PCI strategy: CV versus CL groups.
