A study of the morphofunctional condition of mice with transplantable melanoma B16 under the influence of a normal daylight regime, constant lighting and constant darkness was conducted. It was shown that exposure to constant lighting leads to intensification of the proliferation of melanoma cells, more significant growth and spread of the tumor, the development of more pronounced secondary changes, the presence of perivascular growth and an increase in perineural invasion. At the same time, keeping of animals in constant darkness significantly reduced the intensity of the proliferative process in the tumor and lead to tumor regression in the absence of signs of lympho-, intravascular and intraneural invasion.

We studied changes in the secretion of thyroid hormones and pituitary thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) in young mature male Wistar rats during gradual decrease in deuterium body content. The rats received deuterium-depleted water ([D]=10 ppm) instead of tap water for 21 days. As soon as after 1 day, an increase in the secretion of thyroid hormones was recorded.

Background: The concern of the global community of gynecologists and obstetricians (FIGO) regarding the increase in the number of caesarean sections has resulted in the creation of a new classification, Placenta Accreta Spectrum (PAS), which presents degrees of villus invasion into the uterine wall.

Objective: Compare the main types of atypical placentation (AP) with the stages of PAS, to supplement and unify the clinical and morphological criteria AP.

The mechanisms of ovarian endometrioid cyst formation, or cystic ovarian endometriosis, still remain to be elucidated. To address this issue, we analyzed the involvement of mast cell (MC) tryptase and carboxypeptidase A3 (CPA3) in the development of endometriomas. It was found that the formation of endometrioid cysts was accompanied by an increased MC population in the ovarian medulla, as well as by an MC appearance in the cortical substance.

In this work, we report preliminary results about the involution of the human pineal gland involution. The detailed analysis of pineal structure was done on autopsy material of 77 persons in age 27-96 using x-ray phase-contrast tomography, histology, and immunohistochemistry. Our study suggests that the pineal gland alteration in older adults may be more profound than has been reported to date.

We compared the expression of the main glioblastoma oncogenes during therapy with doxorubicin (Dox) and Dox in nanoparticles based on a copolymer of lactic and glycolic acids (Dox-PLGA) at a delayed start of treatment. Late initiation of Dox-PLGA therapy of glioblastoma showed an increase in the expression of multiple drug resistance genes, such as Abcb1b and Mgmt, and a decrease in Sox2 expression. Increased expression of other oncogenes (Melk, Wnt3, Gdnf, and Pdgfra) were observed during both Dox and Dox-PLGA therapy.

Pentaamino acid fullerene C derivative is a promising nanomaterial, which exhibited antihyperglycemic activity in high-fat diet and streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats. This study investigates the effect of pentaaminoacid C derivative (PFD) in rats with metabolic disorders. Rats were assigned to 3 groups (of 10 rats each) as follows: Group 1 (normal control), group 2 included the protamine-sulfate-treated rats (the untreated group of animals with the model metabolic disorder); group 3 (Protamine sulfate + PFD) included the protamine-sulfate-treated model rats that received an intraperitoneal injection of PFD.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of hysteroscopically controlled injections of autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and autologous endometrial cells as a treatment for infertile women with thin endometrium.
