The microbial composition of host-associated microbiomes is influenced by co-evolutionary interactions, host genetics, domestication, and the environment. This study investigates the contribution of environmental microbiota from freshwater bodies to the gastrointestinal microbiomes of wild khulans (Equus hemionus hemionus, n = 21) and compares them with those of captive khulans (n = 12) and other equids-Przewalski's horse (n = 82) and domestic horse (n = 26). Using PacBio technology and the LotuS pipeline for 16S rRNA gene sequencing, we analyze microbial diversity and conduct differential abundance, alpha, and beta diversity analyses.

Characterization of a pleomorphic rhabdomyosarcoma cell line.

Pleomorphic rhabdomyosarcoma (PRMS) is an extremely rare soft tissue tumor with dismal prognosis that has a higher incidence in adults compared to the other RMS subtypes. The unique PRMS cell line BH1522 was established from a pleural effusion of a lung metastasis and the characteristics of this cell line were compared to two embryonal type RMS (ERMS) cell lines. The affected patient had been treated by surgery, several cycles of chemotherapy and thoracoscopy of the lung metastases.

We aimed to investigate major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) in patients with or without type 2 diabetes (T2DM) presenting with two extremes of atherosclerotic disease, those with angiographically documented minor coronary atherosclerotic lesions and those with symptomatic peripheral artery disease. However, because microautophagy plays a vital role in cellular homeostasis by degrading and recycling cellular components, we question whether it is a suitable term for a process involved in long-term storage. Additionally, because fission-type microautophagy shares mechanistic similarities with the intraluminal vesicle (ILV) formation of multivesicular bodies (MVBs), we draw parallels between microautophagy and membrane remodeling facilitated by the endosomal sorting complex required for transport (ESCRT).

Reducing Quotation Errors in Scientific Manuscripts: A Novel Approach from the Global Andrology Forum.

Purpose: This study investigated 1) the frequency of quotation errors in multi-authored medical manuscripts in andrology, 2) analyzed common types of quotation errors and the methods used to rectify them, and 3) evaluated their impact on manuscript accuracy, credibility, and research conclusions.

Materials And Methods: Twelve manuscripts written by the Global Andrology Forum (GAF) members between 2023 and 2024 were randomly selected for this study. The manuscripts and "Quotation Verification Sheets" were analyzed by senior GAF researchers to detect the number and types of quotation errors.
