Aim: In children and adolescents with epilepsy (CAWE), disturbed sleep and functional difficulties are frequently present, but their relationship is unclear. In this scoping review we aimed to explore associations between sleep and functional outcomes in CAWE.
Method: We registered the protocol with open science framework and conducted the review according to the PRISMA Extension for Scoping Reviews.

Objective: The importance of early integration of palliative care in the management of complex multisystem diseases has been recognized. In this study, we aimed to quantify the need for specialist palliative care in patients with systemic sclerosis (SSc).
Methods: Using data from 875 patients enrolled in the Australian Scleroderma Cohort Study, we defined the need for palliative care as a high symptom burden at two or more consecutive study visits, at ≥50% of overall study visits, or at the study visit immediately before death.

Objectives: Hand sanitisers are urgently needed in the time of COVID-19, and as a result of shortages, some people have resorted to making their own formulations, including the repurposing of distilleries. We wish to highlight the importance of those producing hand sanitisers to avoid methylated spirits containing methanol and to follow WHO recommended formulations.
Methods: We explore and discuss reports of methanol toxicity through ingestion and transdermal absorption.

Treatment standards for chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) have been transformed with the advent of effective inhibitors of B-cell receptor signaling such as ibrutinib - a first-in-class inhibitor of BTK. Off-target kinase inhibitions by ibrutinib are thought to contribute to its adverse events. Zanubrutinib is a next-generation BTK inhibitor with minimal off-target effects, sustained BTK occupancy in peripheral blood mononuclear cells and lymph nodes from patients with B-cell malignancies and promising responses in patients with CLL.

Background: Recent therapeutic strategies, particularly MAP kinase pathway inhibitors (BRAF, MEK) and immune checkpoint blockers (CTLA-4, PD-1), have been put on the test for their differential impact on long-term survival of metastatic melanoma patients. Various agents, dose regimens and combinations have been tested against each other vigorously within these two therapy groups. However, results from prospective head-to-head comparative trials comparing both strategies against each other are still lacking.

Purpose: Previous investigations identified transcriptional signatures associated with innate resistance to anti-programmed cell death protein 1 therapy in melanoma. This analysis aimed to increase understanding of the role of baseline genetic features in the variability of response to BRAF and MEK inhibitor therapy for -mutated metastatic melanoma.
Patients And Methods: This exploratory analysis compared genomic features, using whole-exome and RNA sequencing, of baseline tumors from patients who had complete response versus rapid progression (disease progression at first postbaseline assessment) on treatment with cobimetinib combined with vemurafenib or vemurafenib alone.

Symptoms of depression negatively impact on mother-infant relationships and child outcomes. We evaluated a novel, 10-session mother-infant therapeutic playgroup-Community HUGS (CHUGS)-which combines cognitive and experiential components through psychoeducation, play, music, and movement. Participants were mothers experiencing a range of postnatal mental health difficulties, including depression, with infants ≤12 months of age.

The treatment of metastatic melanoma is still undergoing a process of major change. The two most important novel therapeutic strategies, selective kinase inhibitors and immune checkpoint blockers, both significantly prolong survival times of patients with advanced metastatic disease. Different agents, dose regimens and combinations have been tested against each other vigorously within these two groups.

Purpose: To describe the demographics, presentation, and treatment of "silent sinus syndrome" (SSS) diagnosed following orbital trauma and review the literature on this topic.
Methods: A retrospective review of 6 consecutive cases of SSS following trauma seen by the authors from 2004 to 2015. Data collected included patient demographics, details of previous trauma, clinical presentation, imaging findings, surgery performed, outcome, and follow up.

This paper provides a critical review of recently published work that suggests that the precision of hazardous concentration estimates from Species Sensitivity Distributions (SSDs) is improved when the uncertainty in the input data is taken into account. Our review confirms that this counter-intuitive result is indeed incorrect.

Objective: To examine the impact of the gp130 cytokine family on murine articular cartilage and to explore a potential regulatory role of suppressor of cytokine signaling 3 (SOCS-3) in murine chondrocytes.
Methods: In wild-type (WT) mouse chondrocytes, baseline receptor expression levels and gp130 cytokine-induced JAK/STAT signaling were determined by flow cytometry, and expression of SOCS-3 was assessed by quantitative polymerase chain reaction. The role of endogenous SOCS-3 was examined in cartilage explants and chondrocytes from mice with conditional deletion of Socs3 driven by the Col2a1 promoter in vitro (Socs3(Δ/Δcol2) ) and from mice during CD4+ T cell-dependent inflammatory monarthritis.

Time is a central component of toxicity assessments. However, current ecotoxicological practice marginalizes time in concentration-response (C-R) modeling and species sensitivity distribution (SSD) analyses. For C-R models, time is invariably fixed, and toxicity measures are estimated from a function fitted to the data at that time.

Over the last 5 years, a plethora of histone deacetylase inhibitors (HDACi) have been evaluated in clinical trials. These drugs have in common the ability to hyperacetylate both histone and nonhistone targets, resulting in a variety of effects on cancer cells, their microenvironment, and immune responses. To date, responses with single agent HDACi have been predominantly observed in advanced hematologic malignancies including T-cell lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma, and myeloid malignancies.
