Test-Retest Reliability of Mismatch Negativity and Late Discriminative Negativity Response in Children With Listening Difficulties.

The aim of the study was to determine the test-retest reliability of MMN and LDN recorded to simple speech contrasts in children with listening difficulties. MMN and LDN responses were recorded from Fz and Cz electrodes for a /da/-/ga/ contrast twice within a 10-day period. To extract MMN and LDN, auditory-evoked responses to /ga/ stimuli presented alone were subtracted from the responses to /ga/ presented within an oddball sequence.

Biomimetic Localized Gel Electrolyte for Practical Zinc Anode.

Incompatible electrode/electrolyte interface often leads to dendrite growth, parasitic reactions and corrosion, posing significant challenges to the application of Zn anodes. Herein, we introduce a biomimetic antifreeze protein localized gel electrolyte (ALGE) with multifunctional capabilities to address these issues by combining electrolyte modification with interface optimization. ALGE modifies the Zn2+ solvation structure and the hydrogen-bond network adjacent to zinc anode, effectively suppressing hydrogen evolution.

T-cell Engagers in Prostate Cancer.

Owing to the "cold" tumor immune microenvironment of prostate cancer, immune-targeting agents have shown limited efficacy in patients with advanced prostate cancer, highlighting the need for new therapies with novel mechanisms of action. In this context, T-cell engagers (TCEs), which induce T-cell-mediated killing of cancer cells by binding the CD3 receptor on T cells and a specific tumor antigen expressed on malignant cells, represent a promising therapeutic option. Multiple studies have explored the use of TCEs in previously treated patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer, and several ongoing trials are currently assessing novel TCEs either as single agents or in combinatorial regimens with molecules with a distinct mechanism of action (eg, androgen receptor pathway inhibitors and other immune-targeting agents).

Health literacy in adults with a spinal cord injury or disorder: An updated and expanded systematic review.

Background: The importance of health literacy in personal health management is widely recognised in the general population, yet remains poorly understood in some patient groups, including people with spinal cord injury or disorder (SCI/D).

Objectives: The systematic review had two objectives: (1) to determine the health literacy levels of individuals with SCI/D, and (2) to identify facilitators and barriers to developing health literacy in this group.

Methods: Seven databases (CINAHL, Embase, Emcare, ProQuest, PsycINFO, PubMed, and Web of Science) were searched from inception, with an updated search completed on January 21, 2025.

Methods: Self-reported intake data were available from an online survey of 275,170 Australian adults collected between 2015 and 2023.

Methods: Using data from a national cross-sectional household survey of 6620 individuals in the Dominican Republic (DR) from June to October 2021, we developed and applied geostatistical regression models to estimate and predict Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) spike (anti-S) antibodies (Ab) seroprevalence at high resolution (1 km) across heterogeneous areas.

Effectiveness of primary-contact physiotherapy in managing musculoskeletal conditions in emergency departments: protocol for the RESHAP-ED randomised controlled trial.

Introduction: Patients with musculoskeletal conditions often seek care in an emergency department (ED). The problem is that the time required to manage these patients places an additional pressure on ED physician and nursing staff, who are primarily trained and resourced to manage high-acuity patients. Purpose: The Norwegian Neck and Back Registry (Norsk Nakke og Rygg Register, NNRR) was established to improve the quality of diagnosis and treatment in patients with neck and back complaints at Departments of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR) in Norwegian hospitals. The purpose of this cohort profile is to describe the data from registered patients from 2016 to 2022 and linkage opportunities.

Effectiveness of nirsevimab in preventing RSV-hospitalisation among young children in Western Australia 2024.

Quercetin loaded biogenic squalene nano-lipid carriers for the treatment of dry eye syndrome.

In this study, quercetin-incorporated squalene nanostructured lipid carriers (QS-NLCs) were developed to mitigate the pathological conditions of dry eye disease (DED). The melt emulsification method was used to prepare QS-NLCs. The resulting NLCs have 93.
