This was replicated after the success of the first ZHB in 2018, which provided recommended Zika-related pediatric health screenings to 88 infants and children exposed to Zika virus (ZIKV) during pregnancy.
Methods: Ten specialty pediatric care providers were recruited and traveled to the USVI to conduct the screenings.

Background: Near infrared autofluorescence (NIRAF) detection has previously demonstrated significant potential for real-time parathyroid gland identification. However, the performance of a NIRAF detection device - PTeye® - remains to be evaluated relative to a surgeon's own ability to identify parathyroid glands.
Methods: Patients eligible for thyroidectomy and/or parathyroidectomy were enrolled under 6 endocrine surgeons at 3 high-volume institutions.
To determine whether greater patient-reported symptom intensity and functional limitation influence expressed preferences for discretionary diagnostic and treatment interventions, we studied the association of patient factors and several Patient Reported Outcome Measure (PROM) scores with patient preferences for diagnostic and treatment interventions before and after the visit, a cross-sectional cohort study. One hundred and forty-three adult patients who completed several PROMs were asked their preferences for diagnostic and treatment interventions before and after a visit with an orthopedic surgeon. Patients with better physical function had fewer preferences for specific diagnostic interventions after the visit ( = .

Background/purpose: First-degree relatives (FDRs) of patients with ankylosing spondylitis (AS) may be at high risk of spondyloarthritis. We examined the frequency, characteristics of chronic back pain (CBP), associated features, persistence of symptoms, and HLA-B27 allele frequency in FDRs of AS patients, also comparing those FDRs with participants in NHANES 2009-2010 with CBP.
Methods: 399 FDRs of AS probands were divided into: (1) No CBP (subjects >40 years old at study visit without CBP) (n=162); (2) NICBP (non-inflammatory CBP) (n=82), and (3) CIBP (inflammatory CBP) (n=155).
