BACKGROUND Cosmetics are applied topically to enhance appearance and are commonly used by women of all ages. Cosmetics contain many chemical agents, but the incidence of adverse reactions is low, possibly due to underreporting. This questionnaire-based study included 392 women to evaluate information on the types of cosmetics purchased between December 2018 and March 2019, their use by the women surveyed, and their associated adverse events.

QbD provides a systematic and science-based framework for designing and producing high-quality products, with a particular focus on identifying, assessing and controlling risks throughout the development process. This review aims to assess the benefits of implementing QbD in pharmaceutical processes, evaluate its impact on regulatory compliance and explore its potential to enhance drug product quality.

Methods: A cross-sectional study was carried out for over 4 months from May to August 2020 using a self-administered, anonymous online questionnaire. All adults of both genders were invited to participate in the study. Individuals who are able to read and understand the English language were included in the study.
