Methods And Results: Two hundred patients with clinically significant fatigue were included and randomized to either a general stroke education control or fatigue management group (FMG) intervention and assessed at baseline, 6 weeks, and 3 months.
This study investigates diet quality across four popular dietary patterns: Ketogenic Diet, Low-Carbohydrate Healthy-Fat, Vegetarian, and Vegan, employing the NOVA and Human Interference Scoring System (HISS) classification systems. Utilizing a modified Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ) and analyzing 168 participants' dietary habits, the research identifies notable differences in dietary quality among the dietary patterns. While all groups reported lower consumption of UPFs than the general population, plant-based diets demonstrated higher UPF consumption than ketogenic and low carbohydrate diets.

Previously, in a cohort born 2003-2006 (Cohort 1), we found that, at 18 months corrected age (CA), children born extremely low gestational age (ELGA; 24-28 weeks) and very low gestational age (VLGA; 29-32 weeks), had higher pre-test cortisol levels and a different pattern of cortisol output across a developmental assessment involving cognitive challenge compared to children born full-term (FT; 39-41 weeks). Also, greater neonatal pain-related stress exposure among the preterm children was related to higher pre-test cortisol levels.

The use of proteinaceous material is desired as it forms a protective gelation around the active core, making it safe through temperature, pH, and O in the stomach and intestinal environment. During the boom of functional food utilization in this era of advancement in drug delivery systems, there is a dire need to find more protein sources that could be explored for the potential of being used as encapsulation materials, especially vegetable proteins. This review covers certain examples which need to be explored to form an encapsulation coating material, including soybeans (conglycinin and glycinin), peas (vicilin and convicilin), sunflower (helianthins and albumins), legumes (glutenins and albumins), and proteins from oats, rice, and wheat.

This study investigates the relationship between the COVID-19 threat and consumer evaluation of a product with authenticity appeals in advertisements. We propose that threatening situations like COVID-19 motivate consumers to lower their uncertainty and increase their preference for products with authentic advertising messages. Because individuals react differently to threatening environments according to their early-life experiences, commonly reflected in childhood socioeconomic status, we examined whether childhood socioeconomic status moderates the relationship between threat and consumer evaluation of authenticity in advertisements.

Objective: Many stroke patients make a partial recovery in function during the first 3 months, partially through promoting insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) function. A prognostic biomarker that associates with IGF-1 function may predict clinical outcome and recovery of stroke. This study evaluated plasma concentrations of IGF-1, IGF binding protein (IGFBP)-3 and cyclic-glycine-proline (cGP) and their associations with clinical outcome in stroke patients.
