This research presents an explicit analysis of the effects of sintering temperature (T) on the structural, morphological, magnetic, and optical properties of CuMgFeO nanoferrites synthesized via the sol-gel method. To accomplish it, Cu-Mg ferrite NPs were sintered at temperatures ranging from 300 to 800 °C in increments of 100 with a constant holding duration of 5 h. Thermogravimetric analysis was used to observe the degradation of organic components and the thermally stable zone of the material.

Despite potential contamination, tap water remains the primary source of drinking in megacities. However, the sources of heavy metal(oid)s contamination and associated health hazards have not been thoroughly addressed in many developing cities, including Dhaka. Therefore, we made the first attempt to assess tap water quality in Dhaka City using indices, identify pollution sources with state-of-the-art techniques, and quantify associated health risks.

Here we investigated the effects of Ce and Mo doping on hydrothermally synthesized bismuth vanadate BiVO nanoparticles (NPs). The existence of monoclinic scheelite and tetragonal zircon phases of NPs was validated from Rietveld refinement of the powdered X-ray diffraction, room temperature Raman, and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy. The co-doping of Bi and V sites with respective Ce and Mo dopants in a mixed tetragonal zircon and monoclinic scheelite phases of BiVO lattice was corroborated from high-resolution transmission electron microscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.

In this study, Iron oxide nanoparticles (Fe₂O₃ NPs) were synthesized using iron chloride hexahydrate (FeCl·6HO) and ammonia solution through a straightforward co-precipitation method. The nanoparticles were annealed at temperatures of 100 °C, 300 °C, 500 °C, 700 °C, and 900 °C, with one sample left unannealed. Comprehensive analyses were performed using X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Zeta potential, Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and UV-Vis Spectrophotometry.

This investigation was conducted to measure the radioactivity levels of Ra, Ra, K, and H in the 13 most popular branded bottled mineral water (BMW), 12 groundwater sources consumed in Dhaka city, Bangladesh, and six water samples collected from the nuclear object site at Savar, adjacent to Dhaka. The activity of H was measured by using a liquid scintillation counter, and a gamma-ray spectrometer with an HPGe detector was used to measure the activity of other radionuclides. The average activity concentrations of Ra, Ra, K, and H in BMW samples and groundwater were found to be 1.

The number of diabetic patients is increasing rapidly who have vulnerable feet and might be easily affected by different adversities. Since there is no available footwear sizing system for diabetic patients, manufacturers produce diabetic footwear of different sizes and fittings based on other available footwear sizing systems, which may result in inappropriate fitting. To get footwear with proper fittings, diabetic patients may go for customized or bespoke footwear based on their foot conditions, which is very costly.

Bangladesh stands third in global rice production while complete modernization of rice production is not fully enforced. The boon of nano agriculture might circumvent the challenge of increasing the yield with minimal ecological damage. Nanofertilizer might be one of the solutions to address the problem of modern agriculture confronting environmental hazards owing to the excessive use of synthetic fertilizers by farmers in Bangladesh.

Chicken () is a significant source of animal protein for the people of Bangladesh. However, anthropogenic activity may contaminate chicken meat with potentially toxic elements (PTEs) despite the nutritional benefits. Current work aims to determine the accumulated content of PTEs (Pb, Cd, Cr, As, and Hg) in chickens and poultry feeds commercially sold in Bangladesh markets and compare with WHO, FAO, EU, EC, FSANZ standards.

The research, focusing on the analysis of nine trace elements, namely As, Cd, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mn, Ni, Pb, and Zn, completely analyzed their quantities in both water and sediment inside the Rabnabad Channel. Samples were collected during the post-monsoon and analyzed by ICP-OES following acid digestion. The mean concentrations of elements in water and sediments are as follows: Fe > Mn > Pb > Cu > Ni > Zn > Cr > As>Cd, and Zn > Fe > Pb > Mn > As>Cu > Cr > Ni > Cd.

Environmental sustainability has gained acceptance to achieving the goal of a secure ecosystem with a reliable management system. Heavy metal remediation of aqueous streams is of special concern due to the intractability and persistence in the environment. Adsorption is a potential alternative to the existing inefficient conventional technologies for the removal and recovery of metal ions from aqueous solutions and becomes vital to align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and mitigate the adverse environmental and social impacts.
