Background: The number of meniscal repairs being completed each year is increasing; however, the optimal, cost-effective postoperative assessment to determine the success or failure of a meniscal repair is not well known.

Purpose/hypothesis: The purpose of this systematic review was to identify the clinical examination testing that correlates with objective magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) or second-look arthroscopy (SLA) findings to determine an optimal clinical workup for assessing postoperative meniscal repair healing. It was hypothesized that specific clinical tests would correlate with meniscal repairs that did not heal.

This study aims to retrospectively analyze and compare the early postoperative limb function and quality of life of patients treated with total hip arthroplasty (THA) and proximal femoral nail antirotation (PFNA) for this type of fracture. We hypothesize that there is no significant difference in complications and postoperative recovery between the two surgical methods.

The purpose of this study was to validate the success of revision arthroscopic circumferential allograft labral reconstruction (CLR) in nonarthritic hips, which, in the rare case of failure, had previously undergone labral reconstruction by the same surgeon. Using a minimum of 24-month follow-up, data from 24 hips having undergone revision CLR were analyzed to determine improvements in patient-reported outcomes (PROs). Purpose: To (1) quantify strain in the 3 regions of the patellar tendon during 60% of maximum voluntary isometric contraction (MVIC) in 90° of knee flexion and (2) assess how effort level in 2 different knee joint angles (60° and 90°) impacts strain in the medial and lateral regions of the patellar tendon, in 2 cohorts of patients after ACLR using a BPTB autograft (one group <24 months after surgery and another group ≥24 months after surgery).

Our independent variables were history of concussion in the 12 months preceding survey completion; self-reported weekly physical activity (days per week with >60 min of physical activity, 0-7 scale); substance use over the past 30 days (yes vs no) and illicit drug use throughout lifetime (yes vs no).
