Retinal Microvascular Changes in Association with Endothelial Glycocalyx Damage and Arterial Stiffness in Patients with Retinal Vein Occlusion: A Cross-Sectional Study.

Background/objectives: To investigate the potential association between the endothelial dysfunction and arterial stiffness with retinal changes observed through optical coherence tomography (OCT) and OCT-angiography (OCT-A) in patients with retinal vein occlusion (RVO).

Methods: Participants in this cross-sectional study were 28 patients with RVO. The demographic and clinical characteristics of all participants were recorded.

Objectives: It is suggested that sepsis may be classified into four clinical phenotypes, using an algorithm employing 29 admission parameters. In view of the strong contribution of oxidative stress and inflammation to the pathogenesis of RVO, the purpose of the present study was to investigate the association of inflammation- and oxidative-stress-related polymorphisms from three different genes [] and the risk of RVO in a Greek population. Objective: To describe the epidemiology of injuries and illnesses sustained during the Beijing 2022 Paralympic Winter Games, organised in a closed-loop environment to adhere with COVID-19 restrictions.

Methods: Injuries and illnesses from all teams were recorded on a daily basis by team medical staff on a web-based form and by local organising committee medical (polyclinic) facilities and venue medical support. Duplicates recorded on both systems were removed.

Aim The aim of the study was to evaluate the long-term effect of large horizontal rectus muscle recession on macula thickness using spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT). The intervention groups were the medial rectus (MR) group (=20 eyes ) and the lateral rectus (LR) group (=22 eyes), including the eyes that underwent large medial and lateral rectus muscle recession, respectively.

Unilateral hypertensive choroidopathy as a sole manifestation in malignant hypertension: optical coherence tomography angiography findings-case report.
