This study aims to investigate the relationship between disease duration and psychological burden in PsA and to identify the risk factors associated with psychological distress. Patients with PsA who met CASPAR classification criteria enrolled by Turkish League Against Rheumatism (TLAR)-Network. Patients were categorized into three groups based on disease duration: early stage (< 5 years), middle stage (≥ 5, < 10 years), and late stage (≥ 10 years).

Background: Erector spinae plane block has been shown to help with pain management in different regions and many areas with different indications. However, the effectiveness of this block in cardiac surgery has been shown in the literature, the optimal volume remains unclear. The aim of this study is to determine the analgesic efficacy of two different volumes of local anesthetic injection used in ultrasound-guided bilateral-thoracic erector spinae plane block in patients undergoing coronary artery bypass graft.

This study compared exhaled carbon monoxide (CO) levels in patients hospitalized for bacterial and COVID-19-related viral community-acquired pneumonia. The study included a total of 150 patients: 50 patients hospitalized for COVID-19 between February 2021 and March 2022, 50 patients with bacterial community-acquired pneumonia and 50 healthy controls. In comparisons of exhaled CO levels among the groups, there was no significant difference between patients with bacterial pneumonia and controls, whereas patients with COVID-19 pneumonia had significantly higher exhaled CO levels compared with both the bacterial pneumonia and control groups (p < 0.

Introduction: Based on animal studies, calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) and pituitary adenylate cyclase-activating polypeptide (PACAP) are thought to play a role in neurobiological events such as neuropathic pain, neuroprotection, neurotransmission, neural plasticity, and neurotrophic effects. The aim of the study is to investigate whether there is a change in the blood level of CGRP and PACAP in patients with neuropathic pain and to look for clues about the utility of these peptides as pharmacological targets in the treatment of neuropathic pain in humans.

Methods: The study included 60 polyneuropathy patients with neuropathic pain, 30 polyneuropathy patients without neuropathic pain (NNP) and 29 healthy subjects as control group.
