In this case report, we present the clinical findings and therapeutic outcomes of four rhino-orbital mucormycosis patients. The four patients (1 female, 3 male; age range, 55-77 years) all had diabetes mellitus and two also had chronic renal failure. All patients exhibited proptosis, sinusitis, and dark-colored lesions on the nasopharynx and/or hard palate; three patients had ipsilateral peripheral facial paralysis.

Purpose: This study aimed to investigate oxidative stress in etiopathogenesis by analyzing serum total antioxidant capacity (TAC), total oxidant status (TOS), binding capacity of exogenous cobalt to human albumin (IMA), serum advanced oxidation protein products (AOPP), paraoxonase (PON), arylesterase, IgE, and C-reactive protein (CRP) in bladder pain syndrome/interstitial cystitis (BPS/IC).
Methods: The study included 16 female patients diagnosed with BPS/IC and 25 healthy female subjects forming the control group. A bladder biopsy was performed on all patients in the BPS/IC group by carrying out cystoscopy with hydrodistention under general anesthesia.

Purpose: To investigate the efficacy of positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) in detection and management of hepatic and extrahepatic metastases from gastrointestinal cancers.
Materials And Methods: Between February 2008 and July 2010, patients histopathologically diagnosed with gastrointestinal cancer and showing suspected metastasis on CT screening were subsequently evaluated with PET/CT. All patients were subgrouped according to histopathological origin and localization of the primary tumor.

Materials And Methods: The number of IgG4-positive plasma cells with strong cytoplasmic immunoreactivity was counted in each colon biopsy from inflammatory bowel disease patients who had no evidence of autoimmune pancreatitis.

Background/aims: To assess the sensitivity of magnetic resonance enterography (MRE) in the diagnosis of Crohn's disease (CD) activity and correlation between endoscopic and MRE scores in predicting the activity grade.
Materials And Methods: Twenty-five ileal CD patients with clinical and biochemical evidence of activation underwent ileocolonoscopy and MRE within 7 days of their application. Simplified endoscopic scoring of CD (SES-CD) and MRE scores was done and compared with each other and other parameters of activation (CRP, leukocyte count, platelet count).

A 49-year-old woman who complained of lacrimation, foreign body sensation, and eyelid oedema presented to our outpatient clinic. External examination identified erythematous rash with vesicles on the left eyelid, dorsum of the nose, and forehead of the patient.
