We sought to determine whether an apical LV lead position influences cardiac mortality after cardiac resynchronization therapy.

From self-defeating to other defeating: Examining the effects of leader procrastination on follower work outcomes.

Unlabelled: This research examines the influence of leader procrastination on employee attitudes and behaviours. While previous studies have typically viewed procrastination as a form of self-defeating behaviour, this research explores its effects on others in the workplace. In Study 1, using data collected from 290 employees, we demonstrate the discriminant and relative predictive validity of leader procrastination on leadership effectiveness compared with laissez-faire leadership and directive leadership.

This paper describes systematic development of a high-gradient magnetic fishing process for recovery of immunoglobulins from unclarified antiserum.

Results: Non-porous superparamagnetic particles were transformed into hydrophobic-charge induction adsorbents and then used to recover immunoglobulins from rabbit antiserum feedstocks.

Objectives: To investigate the ocular surface of an aged population wearing a daily disposable contact lens (CL) over their 1st day of wear.

Methods: Forty eyes from 40 presbyopic subjects were fitted a daily CL (Delefilcon A). Tear osmolarity, tear meniscus area (TMA), and ocular surface aberrations (total higher-order root mean square [RMS]) were assessed at baseline (t0), at 20 min (t1) and after 8 hr (t2) of wear.

Bifurcation in Blood Oscillatory Rhythms for Patients with Ischemic Stroke: A Small Scale Clinical Trial using Laser Doppler Flowmetry and Computational Modeling of Vasomotion.

We describe application of spectral analysis of laser Doppler flowmetry (LDF) signals to investigation of cerebrovascular haemodynamics in patients with post-acute ischemic stroke (AIS) and cerebrovascular insufficiency. LDF was performed from 3 to 7 days after the onset of AIS on forehead in the right and left supraorbital regions in patients. Analysis of LDF signals showed that perfusion in the microvasculature in AIS patients was lower than that in patients with cerebrovascular insufficiency.

The most informative technique to detect and locate oxPTMs within proteins is mass spectrometry (MS).
