The Endocrine Society (ES) guidelines recommend screening for primary aldosteronism (PA) in high risk hypertensive patients presenting with at least one of seven criteria (resistant HTN, hypokalaemia, adrenal nodule, etc.) Although guidelines are clear and screening is simple, compliance rates among clinicians are extremely low. This results in underdiagnosis of early disease, leading to cadiovasculaer complications and the extra-burden of advanced chronic kidney disease.

A 74-year-old man presented with symptoms and noninvasive diagnostic studies suggestive of myocardial infarction. Coronary angiography revealed total occlusion of the distal right coronary artery with a unique accessory coronary ring that provided retrograde collateral flow to the left ventricle, demonstrating the importance of considering non-native vessels when identifying target lesions.

Importance: Women with arrested preterm labor (APTL) are at very high risk for spontaneous preterm delivery (SPTD), the leading cause of neonatal mortality and morbidity. To date, no maintenance therapy has been found to be effective for pregnancy prolongation. A few clinical trials with considerable methodological limitations have demonstrated some efficacy for 400 mg vaginal micronized progesterone (VMP) in women with APTL.

Purpose: The attack by Hamas on Israeli civilians (October 7, 2023) triggered the ongoing war, which could be detrimental to cancer care in general and radiation therapy (RT) in particular. To assure continuity of care within the Radiation Oncology Department of Samson Assuta Ashdod University Hospital (SAAUH), which borders on Gaza, patient-centric measures were redoubled by our institution. This study describes the impact of these measures on patients' perception and their willingness to continue RT, despite fear of war.

Chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML) management is complicated by treatment-emergent vascular adverse events seen with tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) such as nilotinib, dasatinib and ponatinib. Pleural effusion and pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) have been associated with dasatinib treatment. Endothelial dysfunction and impaired angiogenesis are hallmarks of PAH.

While functional endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES) is the most useful diagnostic test for the evaluation of dysphagia, it cannot evaluate the esophageal phase of swallowing. To evaluate if a modification for the FEES exam by swallowing an empty capsule and screening of the upper esophagus could be used for early detection of esophageal dysphagia. A prospective, single-center, pilot study.

Children with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder show deficits in processing speed, as well as aberrant neural oscillations, including both periodic (oscillatory) and aperiodic (1/f-like) activity, reflecting the pattern of power across frequencies. Both components were suggested as underlying neural mechanisms of cognitive dysfunctions in attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder. Here, we examined differences in processing speed and resting-state-Electroencephalogram neural oscillations and their associations between 6- and 12-year-old children with (n = 33) and without (n = 33) attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder.

Super-enhancers are unique gene expression regulators widely involved in cancer development. Spread over large DNA segments, they tend to be found next to oncogenes. The super-enhancer c-MYC locus forms long-range chromatin looping with nearby genes, which brings the enhancer and the genes into proximity, to promote gene activation.
