Objective: Despite recommendations to initiate antiseizure medication treatment once the diagnosis of epilepsy is confirmed, a certain proportion of patients with epilepsy who should receive antiseizure medication treatment remain untreated. We aimed to evaluate the rate of and the reasons for the treatment gap in patients with epilepsy who were referred to their first visit in our epilepsy clinic.
Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the computerized database and the medical records of all the patients with epilepsy who had their first visit in our outpatient epilepsy clinic during a 10-year period (2012-2021).

Background: In-utero phthalate exposure was shown to be associated with shortened anogenital distance (AGD) in male newborns, but findings among female are inconsistent. While phthalate exposure among pregnant women in Israel is widespread, no study has examined the association with offspring AGD. The objective of the current study was to investigate the association between maternal phthalates urinary concentration and offspring AGD at time of delivery among a birth cohort in Israel.

Objective: Advances in ultrasound and molecular genetics have changed the field of late termination of pregnancy (LTOP), sparking ethical debates worldwide. In 2007, Israel updated its LTOP policies, requiring a 30% or higher probability of severe handicap for approval of LTOP after 24 weeks' gestation.
Purpose: In this retrospective study, we compared LTOP indications and approval rates before (Group 1: 1998-2007) and after (Group 2: 2008-2021) this policy change.

Purpose: The eccentric implantation of pregnancies in the upper lateral aspect of the uterine cavity is poorly defined clinically. The aim of the current study was to investigate whether differentiating between uterine anomalies that can lead to cavitary distortion has implications for the management of these pregnancies.
Methods: Eight cases of first-trimester eccentric pregnancy implantation within the endometrial cavity (study group) were retrospectively identified.

This study aimed to evaluate associations between prenatal and childhood exposure to phthalates and prenatal exposure to polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and the development of 4-year-old children. Urinary metabolites of five phthalates were measured in women upon delivery, as well as serum concentrations of four PCB congeners. Postnatal phthalate metabolites were measured from children's urine obtained at the time of developmental assessment.

Introduction: Aging is associated with a progressive decline in the capacity for physical activity. The objective of the current study was to evaluate the effect of an intermittent hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) protocol on maximal physical performance and cardiac perfusion in sedentary older adults.
Methods: A randomized controlled clinical trial randomized 63 adults (> 64yrs) either to HBOT (n = 30) or control arms (n = 33) for three months.

In 2020, the US Food and Drug Administration approved liraglutide (glucagon-like-peptide-1-receptor-agonist) as an adjunctive therapy for weight management in adolescents aged 12 to 18 years in combination with a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity. The 2023 American Academy of Pediatrics guidelines recommend pharmacotherapy with glucagon-like-peptide-1-receptor-agonist as a second-line therapy in obesity management. Although reports in adults have suggested a link between liraglutide and adverse effects including hepatic injury and acute kidney injury (AKI), these effects have not previously been reported among adolescents treated with liraglutide for weight loss.

Background: Poorly controlled adolescents living with type 1 diabetes (T1D) and pump failure of insulin delivery leading to diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) are still challenging in the western world.
Aim: To investigate the effect of a combination modality of long-acting insulin for basal coverage and a pump for boluses, on the incidence of DKA and glycemic parameters in pediatric and young adults with poorly controlled T1D.
Methods: This multicenter, observational retrospective study included 55 patients (age range 3-25 years, 52.

Objective: Increasing evidence suggests that the physiological changes of pregnancy may impact pharmacokinetics of antiseizure medications (ASM), and this may affect treatment outcomes. The aim of this study was to quantify the pregnancy impact on the ASM pharmacokinetics.
Methods: A systematic literature search was conducted in PubMed/EMBASE in November 2022 and updated in August 2023 for studies comparing levels of ASM in the same individuals during pregnancy and in the preconception/postpartum period.

We assessed real-life glycemic outcomes and predictors of composite measures of optimal glycemic control in children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes (T1D) during their initial 12 months of the MiniMed™ 780G use. This prospective observational multicenter study collected demographic, clinical, and 2-week 780G system data at five time points. Optimal glycemic control was defined as a composite glycemic control (CGC) score requiring the attainment of four recommended continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) targets, as well as the glycemia risk index (GRI) of hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia and composite CGM index (COGI).
