Purpose: In recent years there has been a noticeable increase in the use of advanced hybrid closed-loop systems (AHCLs) for managing type 1 diabetes (T1D) among youth. However, there is a lack of comparison between the open-source automated insulin delivery (AID) system and the MiniMed™ 780 G system (780 G).
Methods: In this multi-center study, we retrospectively compared selected glycemic ranges of 26 individuals who used open-source AID and 20 individuals who used 780 G (age 11.

Objective: To compare survival measures of women with Stage I high-grade endometrial cancer who underwent either hysteroscopy or a non-hysteroscopic procedure as a diagnostic procedure.
Study Design: 298 patients with stage I high grade endometrial cancer who underwent surgery between 2002 and 2014. Patients were divided into two groups: hysteroscopy and non-hysteroscopy (curettage or office endometrial biopsy).

Background: For over two decades, a daily folic acid (FA) supplementation has been recommended for women of childbearing age with epilepsy. This recommendation is based on evidence that FA administration before conception and during pregnancy can decrease the risk of fetal malformations in the general population, improve cognitive development, and reduce the risk of autistic traits in children exposed in utero to antiepileptic drugs (AEDs).
Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate FA supplementation rate in nonpregnant women of childbearing age with epilepsy and its relation to AED type and number.

The Myopia Center, Rishon LeZion, Israel.
Myopia is the most common refractive error in the world and has reached a pandemic level. The potential complications of progressive myopia have inspired researchers to attempt to understand the sources of myopia and axial elongation and to develop modalities to arrest progression. Considerable attention has been given over the past few years to the myopia risk factor known as hyperopic peripheral blur, which is the focus of this review.

Background And Aims: Prior studies have identified predictors of inadequate preparation with limited success. We aimed to build a model that could predict the likelihood of inadequate preparation by also including factors related to the patient's reaction to drinking the laxative preparation.
Methods: Demographic, clinical, and preparation-related data were prospectively collected on patients undergoing colonoscopy.

Purpose: Only a few studies examined the longitudinal pattern of parent-teacher reports on autism severity and comorbidities in autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and yielded conflicting results. The study's aims were to compare parents and teachers' perception of autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and anxiety symptoms severity in children with ASD, at the start (T1) and end (T2) of the school year, to assess changes in their perception over time and to examine correlations between their reports.
Methods: The study included 73 participants, (M = 61), aged 2:10 - 7:6 years (M = 4:10, SD = 1:0), who attended ASD special education classes and were receiving intensive interventions.

Concerns raised by parents regarding their child's development are compatible with the child's final diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder. A better understanding of the relationship between parental concerns and a final diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder is therefore critical. In the current study, we compared the frequencies of parental concerns related to DSM-5 criteria for autism spectrum disorder between pair-matched groups with and without a final diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder and determined which parental concerns predicted a final diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder.

Introduction: Determination of the fetal gender in the first trimester is important in twin pregnancy cases of familial X-linked genetic syndromes and helps determine chorionicity. We assessed and compared the accuracy of first-trimester ultrasound scans, and cell-free fetal DNA (CfDNA) in determining fetal gender in the first trimester of twin pregnancies.
Methods: Women with twin pregnancies were recruited prospectively during the first trimester.

Background: The "International Hip Outcome Tool 12" (iHOT) is a self-administered patient-reported outcome tool for measuring health-related quality of life and physical functioning in young and active patients with hip pathology. Since the iHOT has become widely used, we sought to translate and validate it for Hebrew-speaking populations. The aims of this study were: (1) To translate and culturally adapt the iHOT into Hebrew using established guidelines.

Objective: To evaluate Cesarean scar defects using saline contrast sonohysterography (SCSH) in women with a history of Cesarean scar pregnancy (CSP).
Methods: A cohort of 38 non-pregnant women with a history of CSP treated with combined local and systemic methotrexate was investigated prospectively by SCSH. For the purpose of analysis, they were classified, according to the modified Delphi consensus criteria for CSP in early gestation, into three subgroups based on the depth of the gestational sac herniation in the midsagittal plane.

Transforaminal interbody fusion (TLIF) has gained increased popularity over recent decades and is being employed as an established surgical treatment for several lumbar spine pathologies, including degenerative spondylosis, spondylolisthesis, infection, tumor and some cases of recurrent disc herniation. Despite the seemingly acceptable fusion rates after TLIF (up to 94%), the literature is still limited regarding the specific location and quality of fusion inside the fixated segment. In this single-institution, retrospective population-based study, we evaluated all post-operative computed tomography (CT) of patients who underwent TLIF surgery at a medium-sized medical center between 2010 and 2020.

Survivors of childhood maltreatment (CM) may experience difficulties in the peripartum period and in adjustment to motherhood. In this study we examined a model wherein CM is associated with maternal self-efficacy and maternal bonding three months postpartum, through mediation of peripartum dissociation and reduced sense of control during childbirth and postpartum-posttraumatic-stress disorder (P-PTSD). Women were recruited in a maternity ward within 48 h of childbirth (T1, N = 440), and contacted three-months postpartum (T2, N = 295).

Introduction: Impairments in activities of daily living (ADL) are a major concern in post-stroke rehabilitation. Upper-limb motor impairments, specifically, have been correlated with low quality of life. In the current case report, we used both task-based and resting state functional MRI (fMRI) tools to investigate the neural response mechanisms and functional reorganization underlying hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT)-induced motor rehabilitation in a chronic post-stroke patient suffering from severe upper-limb motor impairment.

Purpose: Women diagnosed with mid-trimester cervical insufficiency and dilatation are offered interventions to salvage and support the cervix, where the mainstay of therapy is emergency cervical cerclage. However, considering the significant morbidity associated with delivery in the extreme prematurity period, some women may opt for pregnancy termination. In addition, it is expected that elective cerclage in a subsequent pregnancy may yield better obstetrical results.
