Rebound-associated vertebral fractures (RAVFs) could occur in a minority of the patients who discontinue denosumab. In such patients, denosumab is often reinstituted to rapidly suppress bone turnover and avert the risk of additional fractures. Herein we report the cases of 2 patients who sustained RAVFs, and in whom resuming denosumab treatment did not avert the occurrence of new RAVFs a few months later, despite the suppression of bone turnover markers.

Introduction: Hepatic abscesses have been reported as a rare complication of diverticulitis of the bowel. This complication is recognized more commonly at the time of the diagnosis of diverticulitis, or ruptured diverticula, but also can be diagnosed prior to surgery, or postoperatively.
Case Presentation: This report describes a man who developed an hepatic abscess within a simple hepatic cyst, two months after operation for ruptured diverticula of the sigmoid colon.

Background: The vascular closure staple (VCS) clip applier system is an alternative to suture for closing arteriotomies and performing vascular anastomoses. This study was designed to evaluate the possible advantages of its use in closing arteriotomies after embolectomy.
Methods: In this study, 26 patients with upper or lower extremity embolism underwent embolectomy, and the arteriotomy was closed using either VCS clips (group A) or sutures (group B).
