The evaluation needs better visualization and evaluation using CBCT anaylsis and determination of HU, using an appropriate software.

Microsurgical Semilunar Bilaminar Technique Halts Progression of Marginal Tissue Recession by Soft Tissue Phenotypic Modification-A Case Report With 3-Year Follow-Up.

Phenotype modification therapy using the novel semilunar flap with xenogeneic collagen matrix improves gingival phenotype, root coverage and increased keratinized tissue width. It also halts the progression of recession, enhances tissue resilience and improved plaque control sustainable over 3 years. Collagen matrix avoids second site surgery and hence less morbidity.

When TB affects the bones of the hands and feet, it can present a diagnostic labyrinth for clinicians. In such cases, the differential diagnosis may include Jungling's bone disease, adding complexity to the diagnostic process.

Regeneration of Chronic Alveolar Vertical Defects Using a Micro Dosage of rhBMP-2. An Experimental In Vivo Study.

Objective: The objective of this study is to compare the effect of the location of recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein 2 (rhBMP-2) from the native bone and the periosteum for vertical alveolar bone augmentation.

Materials And Methods: Mandibular, chronic, standardized, bilateral, and vertical defects in 12 beagle dogs were evaluated using four modalities: a xenograft alone (XENO; n = 6); rhBMP-2 alone (BMP; n = 6); a technique with rhBMP-2 close to the host bone covered by xenograft (SAN; n = 6); and a technique with rhBMP-2 close to the flap on top of the xenograft (LAS; n = 6). After 8 weeks, a series of in vivo inspections, fluorescence microscopy, histologic and histomorphometric evaluations, and micro-CT analyses.

"Liver Clots" in Periodontology: A 10-Year Clinical Experience.

Objectives: "Liver clots" are an uncommon complication following periodontal surgery, characterized by their distinctive gelatinous consistency and color resembling 'liver' tissue. Despite anecdotal reports, there is a lack of comprehensive evidence in the literature regarding its incidence, etiopathogenesis and optimal management strategies. This study aimed to address this knowledge gap by retrospectively analyzing cases to provide insights into this unusual post-operative complication.

Effectiveness of pulpotomy in managing carious exposure in mature permanent teeth: A systematic review and meta-analysis.

Objectives: This quantitative systematic review evaluated whether pulpotomy performed with hydraulic calcium silicate cements may be used as an alternative to root canal treatment (RCT) in mature permanent teeth with carious pulp exposure.

Data Sources: A comprehensive search was conducted in PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, and the Cochrane Library. No language restrictions were applied.

Background: In order to completely remove bacteria and debris from the root canal system, root canal treatment (RCT) calls for efficient irrigation methods. There is still a lack of research on the relative safety and efficacy of various irrigation systems in tertiary care settings.

Methods: Patients receiving RCT at a tertiary care endodontic clinic were included in a prospective comparison research of 150 subjects.

This systematic review collated data from published randomised controlled trials (RCTs) to provide level-1 evidence on its efficacy. Trials published on the databases of PubMed, Scopus, Embase, CENTRAL, and Web of Science up to 4 August 2023 and comparing intra-articular PRP/PRF with control after TMJ arthrocentesis were eligible.

Gingival unit grafts for localized gingival recession: A split mouth randomized controlled trial.

Background: The interaction between the recipient area and the graft is one of the key factors in the success of periodontal plastic surgery. This randomized controlled, split-mouth, double-blinded clinical trial aimed to compare the clinical and aesthetic outcomes of epithelialized palatal graft (EPG) and gingival unit graft (GUG) in achieving root coverage in localized (Recession Type 1) RT1 recession defects.

Methods: Twenty participants with forty bilateral recession defects randomly received EPG or GUG surgical treatment modalities for each of the recession defects.
