Online learning dexterity, or the ability to effortlessly adapt to online learning situations, has become critical since the COVID-19 pandemic, but its processes are not well-understood. Using grounded theory, this study develops a paradigm model of online learning dexterity from semi-structured interviews with 32 undergraduate and postgraduate students from a university in New Zealand. Through students' online learning experiences during the pandemic from 2020 to 2021, online learning dexterity is found to be how students make online learning 'just as good' as face-to-face learning by creating and adjusting five learning manoeuvres according to developing online learning circumstances.

βIV-spectrin is a membrane-associated cytoskeletal protein that maintains the structural stability of cell membranes and integral proteins such as ion channels and transporters. Its biological functions are best characterized in the brain and heart, although recently we discovered a fundamental new role in the vascular system. Using cellular and genetic mouse models, we reported that βIV-spectrin acts as a critical regulator of developmental and tumor-associated angiogenesis.

The aim of this study was to investigate gene expression alterations associated with overall survival (OS) in glioblastoma (GBM). Using the Nanostring nCounter platform, we identified four genes (, and ) that achieved statistical significance when comparing GBM with non-neoplastic brain tissue. The four genes were included in a multivariate Cox Proportional Hazard model, along with age, extent of resection, and O6-methylguanine-DNA methyltransferase ( promotor methylation, to create a unique glioblastoma prognostic index (GPI).

We report the discovery of a novel cyclic nonribosomal peptide (NRP), acyl-surugamide A2, from a marine-derived RKJM-0023 (CP133227). The structure of acyl-surugamide A2 was elucidated using a combination of NMR spectroscopy, MS2 fragmentation analysis, and comparative analysis of the biosynthetic gene cluster. Acyl-surugamide A2 contains all eight core amino acids of surugamide A, with a modified N-ε-acetyl-L-lysine residue.
