Introduction: The determinants of antimicrobial prescribing often involve social influence, which can be harnessed through behaviour change techniques (BCTs). While previous studies have used BCTs to address antimicrobial resistance, there is a lack of evidence regarding their application to address climate change-related issues in antibiotic prescribing. Our objective is to determine what contributes to the size of the placebo-effect in clinical trials by meta-regressions of randomized placebo-controlled clinical trials.

Study Design And Setting: We identified five diseases where data on the rates of NT were available to search for a sample of n = 150 (5x30) randomized controlled trials.

Objective: This scoping review aimed to understand the depth and breadth of existing evidence exploring socio-economic variation in the quality and safety of primary care for people with dementia.

[Nordic nutrition recommendations 2023 on diet for health and environment estimated for children].

Nordic nutrition recommendations 2023 (NNR2023) advised for the first time certain amounts of foods from food-groups based on scientific data on healthy and environment-friendly diet. The food-based-dietary-guidelines are intended for adults and children above age two, but children's energy requirement and intake are lower than those of adults. In this review, reference amounts of food from different food-groups are calculated for children to align with the combination recommended for adults in NNR2023.

Women football observers' experiences: a perspective from system justification and glass ceiling.

Introduction: The legitimization theory of the system explains that despite people's inherent drive towards personal and group interests, they tend to support social systems. Understanding the sources of social pressure and the glass ceiling perceptions of female football observers is the main aim of this study in terms of examining attitudes within the legitimized system. To this end, the study sought to answer how female football observers are constructed in a marginalized position within the male-dominated football culture through sources of social pressure, and how they accommodate the acceptance of legitimizing the system despite encountering glass ceiling barriers in the context of Turkey.

Finite element analysis of intramedullary nailing and nail-plate combinations for treating unstable proximal tibial metaphyseal fractures.

Background: The anatomy of the proximal tibia presents treatment challenges, and there is currently no widely accepted surgical fixation method for fractures in this region. The aim of this study is to evaluate the efficacy, benefits, and differences between intramedullary nailing (IMN) with a 4-hole Limited Contact Dynamic Compression Plate (LC-DCP) combination and IMN with an 8-hole LC-DCP combination in unstable fractures of the proximal metaphyseal region of the tibia.

Methods: An oblique fracture was created in the metaphyseal region, forming a 30-degree angle in the sagittal plane in three tibial models.

Feline hemotropic mycoplasmosis is an emerging infectious disease in domestic cats caused by a group of hemotropic species, including three main species: (), Mycoplasma hemominutum (Mhm), and Mycoplasma turicensis (Mt). The primary objective of this investigation was to ascertain the molecular prevalence and characterization of hemotropic mycoplasmas in domestic cats from twenty-three districts of Konya province in Türkiye. For this purpose, 384 apparently healthy cats belonging to different breeds were enrolled in this study.

Finding a safe antidiabetic drug is essential since those that are currently on the market have drawbacks like unpleasant side effects.

Integrating environmental sustainability into food-based dietary guidelines in the Nordic countries.

The overall aim of this paper was to provide background knowledge to the Nordic Nutrition Recommendations 2023 Committee for integrating environmental sustainability in a framework for national Food-Based Dietary Guidelines (FBDG) within the Nordics and Baltics. Additionally, this paper aims to give an overview of recent Nordic scientific literature on environmental impact of foods and dietary patterns and of the FBDG of the Nordics. Finally, we suggest methods for developing national sustainable FBDG.

Alkaloids Isolated from Vepris glandulosa with Antidiabetic Properties: An In Vitro and In Silico Analysis.

Diabetes is a major global health issue and as current treatments fail, the search for new antidiabetic drugs is crucial. This investigation, focusing on identifying potential antidiabetic compounds from the endangered plant species Vepris glandulosa, led to the isolation of two known alkaloids, choisyine acetate (1) and choisyine (2). The study established the in vitro inhibitory activities and in silico molecular interaction of the two alkaloids with α-amylase based on IC values, Linewaever-Burk/Dixon plot kinetic analyses and Molecular docking, respectively.

Pyroptosis is an inflammatory and lysis type of programmed cell death. In the canonical pyroptosis signaling pathway, the NLRP3 inflammasome activates inflammatory caspase-1, which then shears cut the executor protein GSDMD. The N domains of GSDMD move to heterogeneous membranes, form pores, and release inflammatory cytokines IL-1β and IL-18, causing cell membrane swelling and rupture.

Unhealthy diet-related behaviors and poor diet quality during childhood and adolescence are the main factors contributing to noncommunicable diseases such as obesity, dyslipidemia, diabetes, hypertension, and cardiometabolic syndrome. Unhealthy diet-related behaviors can become lifelong habits associated with mental health problems, including depression, anxiety, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, and substance abuse issues such as smoking, drinking, and other chemical compounds. Children and adolescents are in the developmental stages of brain structure, function, and neurotransmission systems, which can make them more susceptible to substance abuse (tobacco, alcohol, and drugs).

Validity and reliability of the Endotracheal Suction Assessment Tool© in adult ICU patients: A methodological study.

Background: Novice nurses often find endotracheal suctioning signs unfamiliar. The Endotracheal Suction Assessment Tool© (ESAT©) aids pediatric nurses in suctioning but lacks an adult equivalent. A valid and reliable ESAT© for assessing intensive care unit patients' suction needs across different populations is necessary.

In Vivo Evaluation of Nose-to-Brain Delivery of Liposomal Donepezil, Memantine, and BACE-1 siRNA for Alzheimer's Disease Therapy.

Our study took an innovative approach by evaluating, in vivo, the efficacy of intranasal (IN) administration of liposomal formulations of donepezil, memantine, and beta-site amyloid precursor protein-cleaving enzyme (BACE-1) siRNA, and their combination as a "triple-drug therapy" in treating Alzheimer's disease (AD). Female APP/PS1 homozygous, transgenic mice were used as an AD model. The spatial short-term memory of the APP/PS1 mice was evaluated by a Y-maze behavioral test.
