Attitude to RSV Vaccination Among a Cohort of Pregnant Women in Jordan: A Cross-Sectional Survey Study.

Background And Aims: The recently approved maternal vaccination against respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) can reduce its burden among infants. However, vaccine hesitancy/resistance can undermine the beneficial impact of RSV vaccination. Improving the crystallinity of formamidinium triiodide (FAPbI) perovskite layer is one of the most effective approaches to increase the photovoltaic performance and stability of FAPbI-based solar cells (FSCs). In the current study, FAPbI layers were fabricated through a sequential deposition method. The morphology and crystalline properties of the FAPbI layers were modified by controlling the lead iodide (PbI) precursor by adding pyrrolidinium (Pyr) material into the PbI layer and modulating the FAPbI crystallization.

Background: Quantitative studies have provided valuable statistical insights into Health-Related Quality of Life (HRQoL) among patients with Heart Failure (HF), yet they often lack the depth to fully capture the nuanced, subjective experiences of living with HF particularly in the specific context of Jordan. This study explores the personal narratives of HF patients to understand the full impact of HF on their daily lives, revealing HRQoL aspects that quantitative metrics often miss. This is crucial in developing regions, where the increasing prevalence of HF intersects with local healthcare practices, cultural views, and patient expectations, providing key insights for tailored interventions and better patient care.

Extraction of some essential amino acids using aqueous two-phase systems made by sugar-based deep eutectic solvents.

Aqueous two-phase systems (ATPSs) have long been recognized as versatile and efficient tools for the extraction of biomolecules, including amino acids. Recent advancements in the field have introduced a novel approach by utilizing deep eutectic solvents (DES) to form ATPs. This study aimed to determine the phase diagrams for an ATPS made of polyethylene glycol dimethyl ether 250 and two types of NADESs, namely choline chloride as a hydrogen bond acceptor (HBA), and either sucrose or fructose as a hydrogen bond donor (HBD) with a molar ratio of 1 : 2.

A DFT study on effective detection of ClCN gas by functionalized, decorated, and doped nanocone strategies.

Density Functional Theory (DFT) was employed to investigate the interaction between cyanogen chloride (ClCN) and the surface of a carbon nanocone (CNC). The findings of this research revealed that pristine CNC is not an ideal material to detect ClCN gas due to its minimal alterations in electronic properties. In order to enhance the properties of carbon nanocones, multiple methods were implemented.

Effect of post-COVID-19 condition on sleep: A case report.

Post-COVID-19 condition affects patients on various aspects. This 41-year-old female presented to the outpatient clinic complaining of severe insomnia characterized by inconsistent 2 h of sleep per day despite taking sleep aid pills after being infected with COVID-19 and persisting for 6 months after recovery.

Ethanol-induced dose dumping from sodium alginate matrix tablets: Investigation of the effects of medium viscosity and pH.

In this work, the swelling and disintegration of drug-free sodium alginate (SA) compacts and the release of metformin HCl from SA matrix tablets were investigated in acidic media of different ethanol concentrations (0, 10, 20, and 40 % v/v), pH (1.2 and 4.5) and HPMC K4M concentrations (0-1 % w/v).

Willingness to pay for COVID-19 vaccines: Applying the health belief model.

Background: To date, there is no effective treatment for COVID-19. Vaccines are effective and safe strategies to control the pandemic.

Objective: To measure consumers' maximum willingness to pay (WTP) for COVID-19 vaccines in Jordan and to identify the predictors of WTP.

Introduction: Osteoporosis is a major worldwide health problem represented through decreased bone density. Females at younger ages should be the target for all efforts fighting against this disease aiming toward raising their awareness and promoting healthy behaviours.

Purpose: To evaluate the effectiveness of an osteoporosis educational program in promoting female Jordanian university students' knowledge, attitudes and self-efficacy regarding osteoporosis.

siRNA as a Potential Therapy for COVID-19.

Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV2) is a highly contagious virus causing COVID-19 disease that severely impacted the world health, education, and economy systems in 2020. The numbers of infection cases and reported deaths are still increasing with no specific treatment identified yet to halt this pandemic. Currently, several proposed treatments are under preclinical and clinical investigations now, alongside the race to vaccinate as many individuals as possible.

Public knowledge, beliefs, psychological responses, and behavioural changes during the outbreak of COVID-19 in the Middle East.

Objective: To evaluate the knowledge, believes, psychological and behavioural impact of COVID-19 on the general population in the Middle East, exploring how it impacted public lives.

Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional online survey was sent to a convenience sample in the Middle East through social media (Facebook and WhatsApp) between 16 of June and 30 of June 2020.
