Aberrant TGFβ signaling plays critical roles in the progression of multiple cancers; however, the functional mechanism of this signaling network in the infectious milieu of Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma (ESCC) remains largely unknown. In this study, by using global transcriptomic analysis, we found that infection increased TGFβ secretion and promoted the activation of TGFβ/Smad signaling in cultured cells and in clinical ESCC samples. Furthermore, we demonstrated for the first time that enhanced the expression of Glycoprotein A repetitions predominant (GARP), thereby activating TGFβ/Smad signaling.

Keratin pearls (KP) is an important indicator of the degree of tumor cell differentiation of esophageal squamous cell carcinomas (ESCC). However, the independent prognostic value of KP in ESCC patients remains unclear. The hematoxylin-eosin (H&E) stained tissue microarrays (TMAs) or whole slides of the patients were prepared to identify the existence of KP.

Colorectal cancer (CRC) represents a major health concern that can be screened for by the fecal immunochemical test (FIT), which detects blood in the stool. CRC detection sensitivity for hemoglobin (Hb) combined with transferrin (Tf) is higher than for hemoglobin alone. We developed a europium fluorescent microsphere-based quantitative lateral flow immunochromatography strip to detect fecal Hb and Tf.

Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the clinicopathological features and immunomarkers of Solid Pseudopapillary Neoplasm of the Pancreas (SPN) and to find the best possible immunomarker combination that can accurately diagnose it.

Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 10 patients who underwent surgery for pathologically confirmed SPN from August 2013 to August 2017. Follow-up of the patients was between 9 and 57 months.

Purpose: To study the clinical pathologic characteristics and differential diagnosis of syphilitic cervical lymphadenitis, and to improve the rate of its diagnosis and treatment.

Methods: Retrospectively analyzed the clinical history, Trepone pallidum-ELISA (TP-ELISA), rapid plasma regain test (RPR) and routine pathological examination of the patient diagnosed as syphilis lymphadenitis. And review related literatures.
