Background Tricuspid valve regurgitation is frequently overlooked by cardiologists and cardiac surgeons alike; consequently, the tricuspid valve is often referred to as "the forgotten" valve. It is the most common complication of left heart valve disease. Ring annuloplasty and suture (De Vega) annuloplasty represent two common surgical treatment techniques.

Thromboembolic events are among the most serious, yet rare complications of nephrotic syndrome. While peripheral venous thrombosis and pulmonary embolism are the most common, superior mesenteric artery thrombosis is a rare but life-threatening occurrence. We present a case of severe cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection complicated by congenital nephrotic syndrome, leading to mesenteric ischemia.

We report a patient with neuroichthyosis with an ELOVL1 variant associated with severe pruritus who responded well to dupilumab therapy. Our case is the third known patient reported with this de novo heterozygous dominant variant. The feature of severe progressive pruritus greatly impairing quality of life is unique among these reports.

Rationale And Objectives: To evaluate the performance of CT-like MRI sequences (gradient echo with radial k-space filling (GRE), pointwise encoding time reduction with radial acquisition (PETRA), radial Ultrashort Echo Time (UTE)) versus ultra-high-resolution CT (UHR-CT) in assessing carpal bones and soft tissue calcifications in cadaveric wrists.
Materials And Methods: Five anonymized cadaveric forearm specimens were imaged using a 3 T MRI system with GRE, PETRA, and radial UTE sequences, alongside UHR-CT. Evaluated parameters included bone contours, carpal bone dimensions, cortical thickness, lesion size and soft tissue calcifications.

Introduction: Treatment patterns for patients with bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG)-unresponsive high-risk non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) who are ineligible for or decline radical cystectomy (RC) are inconsistently reported. We retrospectively described demographic, clinical, and treatment characteristics for these patients and assessed their clinical outcomes.
Patients And Methods: Medical charts of patients with BCG-unresponsive high-risk NMIBC (carcinoma in situ [cohort A] or T1/high-grade Ta [cohort B]) who were ineligible for or declined RC documented between January 1, 2011, and December 31, 2018, at 15 academic centers were reviewed.

Purpose: Low-dose aspirin had been widely used for secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease. Chronopharmacology of arterial hypertension and platelet aggregation impacts the long-term thromboembolic risk in patients with cardiovascular disease. Therefore, clinical studies have proposed optimising aspirin dosing time.

Among the rare and complex causes of acute intestinal occlusion: volvulus due to the ileosigmoid node. The latter is secondary to the terminal ileum which will wrap around the base of the sigmoid colon and its meso, resulting in the formation of a node. Its natural evolution is the ischemia of the ileum and sigmoid, necessitating prompt emergency surgical intervention as the primary treatment approach.

The association between spontaneous pneumothorax and a bronchial tumor is rare, and even more so with an atypical carcinoid tumor. This rare and unexpected case highlights the importance of raising clinician awareness about investigating the underlying cause of pneumothorax through endoscopic exploration. A 52-year-old female was exposed to passive smoking by her husband for 20 years.

Introduction: Chronic Posterior shoulder dislocation presents significant challenges, with treatment decisions influenced by the duration of the injury and the severity of humeral head damage. This report highlights an innovative technique for reconstructing humeral head defects using an osteocartilaginous graft from costal cartilage, offering insights into the surgical procedure and the patient's favorable recovery outcomes.
Presentation Of Case: The patient, a 23-year-old male with no significant medical history, was treated for a neglected posterior shoulder dislocation of two months' duration, complicated by a reverse Hill-Sachs lesion.

Introduction: Parkinson's disease (PD) presents with a variety of non-motor symptoms such as sleep disorders, hyposmia, pain, cognitive dysfunction, neuropsychiatric and autonomic symptoms. One of the most neglected motor symptoms is the impairment of eye movements, which occurs in 75% of PD patients. The aim of our study was to investigate the relationship between the severity of non-motor symptoms and the impairment of different types of eye movements.

Background: New generation flow-diverting stents have benefited from recent technological advances to reduce their thrombogenicity. This in vitro study is the first of its kind to compare multiple surface modified flow diverters with their bare metal counterparts.
Methods: A thrombin generation assay (TGA) was used to compare thrombin generation resulting from different stent types with glass beads (positive control) and plasma (negative control).

Cartilage lesions do not heal spontaneously and predispose to osteoarthritis. Functional cartilage tissues, engineered using autologous chondrocytes, have a therapeutic advantage over conventional cellular therapies in preclinical studies. Here, we tested whether ex vivo maturation of engineered grafts for cartilage repair leads to improved patient benefit.

Introduction: Atrial fibrillation is the most common sustained arrhythmia, associated with substantial morbidity and a reduced quality of life. The current standard of care, transcatheter pulmonary vein isolation using thermal ablation techniques, provides symptom relief but carries a risk of collateral tissue damage. In recent years, pulsed field ablation, a nonthermal technique based on irreversible electroporation, has emerged as a promising alternative to conventional thermal ablation methods.

Background: Functional cognitive disorder (FCD) poses a diagnostic challenge due to its resemblance to other neurocognitive disorders and limited biomarker accuracy. We aimed to develop a new diagnostic checklist to identify FCD versus other neurocognitive disorders.
Methods: The clinical checklist was developed through mixed methods: (1) a literature review, (2) a three-round Delphi study with 45 clinicians from 12 countries and (3) a pilot discriminative accuracy study in consecutive patients attending seven memory services across the UK.

Objectives: The primary objective of the current study was to evaluate the correlation between noise-induced annoyance and the cognitive performance within the Lebanese adolescent population and the moderating effect of psychosocial work aspects-namely effort, reward, and overcommitment- in this association.
Methods: An anonymous online survey was conducted in Lebanon between April and May 2023, using a snowball sampling technique and distributed across various social media platforms, to gather data from Lebanese adolescents. The sample was composed of 1269 adolescents.
