A systematic review & meta-analysis comparing outcomes of endoscopic treatment of primary vesico ureteric reflux in children with polyacrylate poly alcohol copolymer versus dextranomer hyaluranic acid.

Background & Aims: There are conflicting reports on the efficacy of bulking agents for vesico ureteric reflux (VUR). In this meta-analysis we have compared the outcomes of endoscopic treatment with polyacrylate polyalcohol copolymer (PPC) and dextranomer hyaluronic acid (DxHA).

Methods: A systematic review of publications between 2010 and 2020 was conducted covering databases like PUBMED, MEDLINE etc.

A meta-analysis comparing dorsal plication and ventral lengthening for chordee correction during primary proximal hypospadias repair.

Purpose: Recurrent chordee (RC) is an important complication of proximal hypospadias repair. In this meta-analysis we compared RC incidence following dorsal plication (DP) versus ventral lengthening (VL).

Methods: We searched the databases to identify all papers between 2001 and 2021 pertaining to proximal hypospadias and recurrent chordee.

Infants hospitalized for critical illnesses are at a high risk of undernutrition because of increased nutrient requirements (due to increased metabolism) and decreased nutrient intake (due to disease-related problems such as anorexia or feeding difficulties). This can result in a slowing down of their normal growth, referred to as "growth faltering." Appropriate nutritional management of these infants is extremely important to avoid long-term adverse outcomes.

A systematic review and meta-analysis comparing outcomes of laparoscopic extravesical versus trans vesicoscopic ureteric reimplantation.

Objective: When considering treatment for vesico ureteric reflux via inimally invasive surgery there is a dilemma to choose between laparoscopic extravesical (LEVUR) and transvesicoscopic (TVUR) ureteric reimplantation. In this systematic review and meta-analysis we have analyzed the articles on LEVUR and TVUR and compared the outcomes.

Methods: We searched the databases to identify all papers pertaining to TVUR and LEVUR in the pediatric population.

Cystoscopic Management of Prostatic Utricles.

In this case series (n = 7) on prostatic utricles (PU), retention of urine was seen in 5 of 7, urinary tract infection (4 of 7), recurrent epidydymo-orchitis (3 of 7), and scrotal sinus (1 of 7). Voiding cystourethrogram established diagnosis in 3 of 7 patients while CT/MRI in 4 of 7 patients. Four patients were primarily managed by cystoscopic widening of mouth of PU.
