Hydrothorax: transdiaphragmatic migration of a ventriculoperitoneal shunt catheter.

Symptomatic hydrothorax following ventriculoperitoneal shunt insertion is a very rare complication. The patient was a 5-month-old child known to have had shunted congenital hydrocephalus two months before. He presented to the emergency room in respiratory distress.
