Background The renin-angiotensin system plays a crucial role in human physiology, and its main hormone, angiotensin, activates 2 G-protein-coupled receptors, the angiotensin type-1 and type-2 receptors, in almost every organ. However, controversy exists about the location, distribution, and expression levels of these receptors. Concerns have been raised over the low sensitivity, low specificity, and large variability between lots of commercially available antibodies for angiotensin type-1 and type-2 receptors, which makes it difficult to reconciliate results of different studies.

Aggressive angiomyxoma is an uncommon, benign, slow-growing, and locally infiltrative soft tissue neoplasm which is located primarily in the genital region and pelviperineal interstitial tissue of female patient in the fourth decade of life. Its occurrence in male patients is even more unusual and commonly appears at a later age. The mainstay of treatment typically involves surgical excision with tumor-free margins, and despite complete resection, local recurrences are common.

Objective: To investigate the perinatal outcomes of cases with idiopathic polyhydramnios.

Study Design: Retrospective analysis of 160 singleton pregnancies that were under routine surveillance at the department of obstetrics from 2008 to 2010 was performed to assess perinatal outcomes. Finally, 59 cases were included as idiopathic polyhydramnios, and 101 cases were included as controls.
