Pregnancy outcome of 149 pregnancies in women with epilepsy: Experience from a tertiary care hospital.

Introduction: Epilepsy has a prevalence of 1.65% in adults, and every 1 in 200 pregnancies encounters its complications. We aimed to present the existing condition of and our experience with epileptic pregnant women for whom the prepregnancy counseling is inadequate in Turkey.

Minimally invasive surgery using mini anterior incision for thyroid diseases: a prospective cohort study.

Membranous Nephropathy (MN) is a glomerular disease characterized by proteinuria. The etiology is unknown in many cases, while in some patients MN may be secondary to infection, to other diseases, or to exposure to drugs and toxic substances. The importance of the time interval between diagnosis and operation in myasthenia gravis patients.

Aim: Complete remission rates in patients with myasthenia gravis (MG) using anticholine esterases, immunosuppressive drugs, and medical therapy methods like plasmapheresis are low. Because high levels of complete remission and advantages are reported after thymectomy this surgical method is widely used in patients with MG.

Methods: The preoperative status and the responses to thymectomy have been studied in 15 patients who had been diagnosed as MG and underwent thymectomy in Ankara Numune Education and Research Hospital.

Arthritis and osteomyelitis due to Aspergillus fumigatus: a 17 years old boy with chronic granulomatous disease.

Background: Invasive Aspergillus infections are frequently seen in immunocompromised patients but arthritis is a rare complication of Aspergillus infections in the absence of immune suppressive therapy, trauma or surgical intervention.

Case Presentation: A 17 years old male patient with arthritis and patellar osteomyelitis of the left knee whose further investigations revealed chronic granulomatous disease as the underlying disease is followed.
