Rift Valley fever virus (RVFV) is the causative agent of Rift Valley fever, a mosquito-borne zoonotic febrile illness that primarily affects ruminants, camels, and humans. It is endemic in sub-Saharan Africa and the Arabian Peninsula, albeit with the potential to spread to and establish in non-endemic countries where mosquito vectors are present. Assessing the vector competence (VC) of local mosquito populations is essential for risk evaluation and to develop more accurate control and surveillance strategies.

Microwaving has been used to qualitatively improve feed ingredients prior to including them in cattle feed. We screened bacterial strains isolated from raw food shrimp for those that are bactericidal to Vibrio strains. West Nile virus (WNV) is a re-emerging flavivirus, primarily circulating among avian hosts and mosquito vectors, causing periodic outbreaks in humans and horses, often leading to neuroinvasive disease and mortality. Intrapancreatic accessory spleen (IPAS) is one of the most frequent congenital splenic anomalies in humans; however, studies in veterinary medicine are scarce. This study aimed to describe the macroscopic, histopathological and immunohistochemical features of 11 suspected cases of IPAS in wild boar piglets of 3-4 months old. The present study aimed to investigate the effect of thermal stress on growth, feed utilization, coloration, hematology, liver histology, and critical thermal maximum (CTmax) in goldfish (Carassius auratus) cultured at three different acclimation temperatures including 27 °C, 30 °C, and 34 °C for 10 weeks. This manuscript elucidates the occurrence of glanders in an asymptomatic mare from Brazil presenting positive antibody titers. The diagnosis was established through a multi-pronged approach encompassing microbiological culture, mass spectrometry, and genome sequencing.
