Dyslipidaemia, characterised by abnormal lipid levels in the blood, is an important risk factor for cardiovascular disease. In this case-control study, the association between single-nucleotide polymorphisms in ERBB2 and ERBB3 genes and the risk of dyslipidaemia in a population from Northern Anhui, China was evaluated. Particularly, we analysed samples from 543 patients with dyslipidaemia and 648 healthy controls for five potentially functional polymorphisms using TaqMan assays.

The metabolic pathway of aerobic glycolysis in tumor cells has garnered significant attention in tumor research because of its high activation in cancer cells. Previous research conducted by our team has demonstrated that Apolipoprotein M (APOM) exhibits potential as a factor against liver cancer. However, further investigations are needed to elucidate the precise approach and mechanism that are involved in this process.

Drug-induced protective autophagy significantly affects the efficacy of anticancer therapies. Enhancing tumor cell sensitivity to treatment by inhibiting autophagy is essential for effective cancer therapy. Our study, analyzing data from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) public database, HCC cell lines, and liver cancer tissue samples, found that miR-22-3p is expressed at low levels in HCC and is significantly associated with clinicopathological features and patient prognosis.

According to the findings of multiple observational studies, immune disorder was a risk factor for prostatitis. However, it remained unknown whether there was a direct causal relationship between immune cells and prostatitis or whether this relationship was mediated by plasma metabolites. Based on the pooled data of a genome-wide association study (GWAS), a genetic variant was used to predict the effects of 731 immunophenotypes on the risk of prostatitis and determine whether the effects were mediated by 1400 metabolites.

Purpose Of Review: Plant-based meat analogs (PBMAs) have been the subject of interest over the past few years due to consumers' demand for environmentally friendly, healthful, and non-animal-based foods. A better comprehension of the composition, structure, texture, nutrition, and sustainability of these PBMAs is necessary.
Recent Findings: This review articulates the protein sources and composition of PBMAs and their "meatiness" with respect to texture, structure, and flavor enhancement.

Background: MiR-381 can regulate the expression of cyclin A2 (CCNA2) to inhibit the proliferation and migration of bladder cancer cells, but whether miR-381 has the same function in breast cancer is not well know.
Methods: The over express or silence miR-381 expressing cell lines were constructed by lentivirus infection to reveal the biological functions of miR-381 . The expression of miR-381 and CCNA2 in 162 breast cancer patients were detected to further reveal their impact and predictive value on progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS).

Introduction: The medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC) forms output pathways through projection neurons, inversely receiving adjacent and long-range inputs from other brain regions. However, how afferent neurons of mPFC are affected by chronic stress needs to be clarified. In this study, the effects of chronic restraint stress (CRS) on the distribution density of mPFC dendrites/dendritic spines and the projections from the cortex and subcortical brain regions to the mPFC were investigated.
