The evolution of the spatiotemporal relationship between urban economic growth and health resources within the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration provides an important context for understanding the regional development dynamics in China. Previous studies focused on equity in health-resource allocation and service efficiency, often overlooking the allometric growth relationships between health resources and economic variables. This study employs an allometric growth model to elucidate the changing interactions between the number of medical beds, doctors, and urban economic indicators in the Yangtze River Delta region from 2009 to 2022.

The Financial Toxicity Experience of Patients with Colorectal Cancer During Chemotherapy: A Qualitative Study.

Background: This study aimed to explore the experience of financial toxicity in patients with colorectal cancer during chemotherapy and to inform the development of targeted interventions.

Methods: A descriptive qualitative research method was used to conduct semi-structured interviews with a purposive sample of 15 patients with colorectal cancer undergoing chemotherapy who attended the Department of Medical Oncology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University from March to June 2024, and the data were organized and analyzed using the Nvivo 11.0 qualitative data analysis software and the thematic analysis method.

Traditional Chinese medicine trade among RCEP countries: structural characteristics and determinants.

Background: With the increasing global focus on health and the growing popularity of natural therapies, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) products, including extracts, crude drugs, and herbal preparations, are widely utilized as both primary and complementary medicines worldwide. The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), spanning 15 countries across East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Oceania, offers a vast market for TCM. However, limited research has been conducted on the complex trade relations among RCEP members.

A hybrid human fall detection method based on modified YOLOv8s and AlphaPose.

To address the challenges of low detection accuracy of small objects and weak applicability of the multi-person fall action recognition applications, we propose a hybrid fall detection method based on modified YOLOv8s and AlphaPose called HFDMIA-Pose. Firstly, we use the modified Yolov8s as object detector. It uses SPD-Conv to preserve small object features and adds a small object detection layer, while using BCIOU as the loss function.

Balanced dung beetle optimization algorithm based on parameter substitution and escape strategy.

Dung Beetle algorithm is an intelligent optimization algorithm with advantages in exploitation ability. However, due to the high randomness of parameters, premature convergence and other reasons, there is an imbalance between exploration and exploitation ability, and it is easy to fall into the problem of local optimal solution. The purpose of this study is to improve the optimization performance of dung beetle algorithm and explore its engineering application value.

Unpacking the green potential: How does supply chain digitalization affect corporate carbon emissions? - Evidence from supply chain innovation and application pilots in China.

The impact of supply chain digitalization (SCD) on carbon dioxide emissions is an emerging area of research, particularly in China, which is the world's largest carbon emitter. This study uses micro-level data on listed companies from 2010 to 2021 to systematically verify the impact and mechanism of SCD on corporate carbon emissions (CCE) through the difference-in-differences model. We determined that SCD can significantly reduce CCE and its implementation path involves three aspects: promoting technological innovation, reducing financing constraints, and increasing market attention.

Exploring the interplay between social connectedness, job control, and organizational commitment: the mediating role of work engagement among Chinese teachers.

This study investigated the factors influencing teachers' organizational commitment in China. We employed a survey design with a sample of 506 full-time teachers from various public middle and high schools across mainland China. Social connectedness, job control, and work engagement were measured using self-reported scales.

How are brands associated by users in short videos-A study on the mechanism of user associations with brand placements in short videos based on signal theory.

The emergence of short video platforms has opened new avenues and opportunities for brand marketing. This paper investigates the mechanisms of brand dissemination in short videos, examining strategies for fostering brand associations to fulfill communication objectives. Drawing on signal theory, the study identifies the perceived value of short videos as the source of signals, with brand value and transparency serving as mediating factors, and brand association as the outcome.

Dual-Gas Sensor Employing Wavelength-Stabilized Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy and H-Infinity Filtering Algorithm.

A compact dual-gas sensor based on the two near-infrared distributed feedback diode lasers and a multipass cell has been established for the simultaneous measurement of methane (CH) and acetylene (CH). The time division multiplexing calibration-free direct absorption spectroscopy is used to eliminate the cross interference in the application of multicomponent gas sensors. A wavelength stabilization technique based on the proportion integration differentiation feedback control is developed to suppress laser wavelength drift and an H-infinity (H) filter algorithm to reduce the system noise.

Longitudinal genomic profiling using liquid biopsies in metastatic nonsquamous NSCLC following first line immunotherapy.

Tumor genomic profiling is often limited to one or two timepoints due to the invasiveness of tissue biopsies, but longitudinal profiling may provide deeper clinical insights. Using ctDNA data from IMpower150 study, we examined genetic changes in metastatic non-squamous NSCLC post-first-line immunotherapy. Mutations were most frequently detected in TP53, KRAS, SPTA1, FAT3, and LRP1B at baseline and during treatment.

Evolutionary game of international trade network based on trade policy differences.

Trade policy differences among different countries are important factors affecting international trade cooperation. In this paper, we build an evolutionary game model of international trade in which complex networks portray game relationships and trade policy differences are game strategies of players. Compared with the fully coupled game relationship and two-strategies game, the game relationship dynamic adjustment, trade policy differences and stochastic game payoffs in this paper are more in line with the real international trade context.

Based on the panel data of 30 provinces and cities in China from 2011 to 2021, this study empirically examines the impact of digitally inclusive finance on rural residents' consumption and the mediating and threshold effects of rural revitalization.

Music genres classification poses a formidable challenge as it necessitates capturing the intricate and varied characteristics of musical signals. In this study, an innovative approach is presented to classify the music genres using the Capsule Neural Network (CapsNet). The CapsNet model optimized by an advanced version of Triangulation Topology Aggregation Optimizer (ATTAO).

Construction and optimization of health behavior prediction model for the older adult in smart older adult care.

Cognitive and preference disparities of Chinese consumers regarding the disclosure of unsafe food recall information.

Introduction: Information disclosure is important in promoting unsafe food recalls and reducing potential food safety risks. However, the governance of unsafe food recall information in China is distorted, leading to cognitive dissonance in Chinese consumers' perceptions of unsafe food recall information. Focusing on consumers' search and cognitive costs, this study suggests that market regulators should proactively and fully disclose unsafe food recall information to satisfy consumers' needs and preferences for recall information, thereby optimizing consumer perceptions and facilitating the improvement of the information governance system for unsafe food recalls.

Multidimensional internet use related to cognitive performance in older persons: a nationwide cross-sectional study.

Introduction: The internet has been increasingly recognized as a potential driver for enhancing cognitive functioning in older adults; however, the mechanisms underlying this relationship remain insufficiently understood in the literature. This study aimed to investigate the associations between different dimensions of internet use-activity, device, and frequency-and cognitive performance in older adults.

Methods: This cross-sectional study utilized data from the fourth wave of the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS), involving a nationally representative sample of 17,676 participants aged 60 years and above.

The rapid propagation of information in the digital epoch has brought a surge of rumors, creating a significant societal challenge. While prior research has primarily focused on the psychological aspects of rumors-such as the beliefs, behaviors, and persistence they evoke-there has been limited exploration of how rumors are processed in the brain. In this study, we experimented to examine both behavioral responses and EEG data during rumor detection.

Mechanical prediction method of strata movement and surface subsidence in backfill-strip mining.

Underground coal excavation has caused a series of geological disasters and environmental problems, especially coal mining subsidence. Backfill-strip mining, which combines the advantages of strip mining and backfill mining, can reduce subsidence and improve the recovery rate of coal. Therefore, predicting the impact of backfill-strip mining on the surface environment and strata structure is essential for the better development of backfill-strip mining technology.

Optimisation of services to prevent dental caries for school-aged children in China: a discrete choice experiment.

Objectives: The objective of this study is to analyse the preferences of guardians of school-aged children for children's caries prevention services (CPS) and their willingness to pay (WTP) for different levels of attributes.

Design: Four key attributes were identified through a literature review and expert consultations: preventive service time, preventive effectiveness, distance (driving time to service institution) and service cost (out-of-pocket for CPS). A D-efficient design was used to create a discrete choice experiment questionnaire, and data were collected via face-to-face interviews.
