Cell type annotation is a critical step in analyzing single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) data. A large number of deep learning (DL)-based methods have been proposed to annotate cell types of scRNA-seq data and have achieved impressive results. However, there are several limitations to these methods.

Slow transformation efficiency of Fe(III)/Fe(II) limits the generation of radicals in peroxymonosulfate (PMS)-based advanced oxidation processes (AOPs), and these radicals was easy to be interfered by the presence of water constituents. In addition, in-situ coagulation during this oxidation process was neglected. This study proposed Fe(II)/PMS-Mn(VII) in the presence of chlorides ions (FPMC) process to reveal multiple promoting effects of Mn on redox cycle of Fe(III)/Fe(II) and different reactive mechanisms of Cl on types of radicals generation pathways, and the in-situ coagulation enhanced mechanisms was investigated.

Determination of Fusarium spores is essential for precision control of Fusarium head blight and ensuring agri-food safety. As a highly sensitive real-time detection technique with rich fingerprint information and little influence from water, surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) has been widely applied in the determination of microorganisms. However, fungi determination faces significant challenges including low sensitivity, and poor specificity.

An ideal green leaf-deposited pesticide formulation should offer advantages such as good water dispersibility, strong foliar affinity, sustained or controlled release of active ingredients, photostability and rain-fastness, minimal nontarget toxicity, use of nontoxic organic solvents, and degradable adjuvants. In line with this objective, we present green preparation of a colloidal pesticide formulation using optimized lysine-derived carbon dots (LysCDs)-modified CaCO (LysCDs/CaCO) particles as the carrier and abamectin (Abm) as the active ingredient. The loading capacity of abamectin in this colloidal pesticide (LysCDs/CaCO/Abm) is 1.

The orbital Hall effect originating from light materials with weak spin-orbit coupling, has attracted considerable interest in spintronic applications. Recent studies demonstrate that orbital currents can be generated from charge currents through the orbital Hall effect in ferromagnetic materials. However, the generation of orbital currents in antiferromagnets has so far been elusive.

The composition and function of animal gut microbiota are shaped by various factors, among which diet is one of the major factors. Diet is affected by seasonal shifts and geographical differences, which in turn impact the host's nutritional levels. To adapt to these environmental changes, the gut microbiome often produces matching responses.

Liquid scintillator consists of an organic solvent and one or more scintillation solutes, which can emit light pulses after absorbing X- and γ-rays, or high-energy particles. It has the characteristics of strong neutron/γ-ray (n/γ) discrimination, short decay time, unlimited size and low cost, which plays an important role in high-sensitivity and large-scale radiation detection, especially in the construction and safe operation of nuclear facilities. However, the impact of solvent selection and moisture content on the fluorescence-scintillation properties of scintillators has not been adequately investigated in the literature.

Triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) have garnered significant attention for mechanical energy harvesting, self-powered sensing, and human-machine interaction. However, their performance is often constrained by materials that lack sufficient mechanical robustness, self-healing capability, and adaptability to environmental extremes. Eutectogels, with their inherent ionic conductivity, thermal stability, and sustainability, offer an appealing alternative as flexible TENG electrodes, yet they typically suffer from weak damage endurance and insufficient self-healing capability.

Biogas can be used for complementary load-balancing with renewable intermittent power, thus maintaining overall energy output stability. However, biogas load balancing load balancing is typically used in small-scale distributed energy systems, constrained by factors such as technology and land requirements, making it challenging to scale up. Therefore, this study proposes a closed-loop ecological cycle system, where biogas provides load leveling support for large-scale intermittent power sources in desertified regions dominated by animal husbandry.

Background: Current medical image registration methods based on Transformer still encounter challenges, including significant local intensity differences and limited computational efficiency when dealing with three-dimensional (3D) computed tomography (CT) and cone beam CT (CBCT) images. These limitations hinder the precise alignment necessary for effective diagnosis and treatment planning. Therefore, the aim of this study is to develop a novel method that overcomes these challenges by enhancing feature interaction and computational efficiency in 3D medical image registration.

Background: Dyslipidemia is a common comorbidity in patients with cancer, yet the impact of abnormal lipid levels on tumor prognosis remains contentious. This study was conducted to synthesize the current evidence regarding the prognostic utility of blood lipid levels, including high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG), apolipoprotein A1 (ApoA1), and apolipoprotein B (ApoB), in predicting overall survival (OS) and disease-free survival (DFS) in cancer patients.
Methods: A comprehensive literature search was performed across electronic databases to assess the associations between blood lipid levels and OS or DFS in cancer patients.

Ribonucleotide reductase M1 (RRM1), the catalytic subunit of ribonucleotide reductase, plays a pivotal role in converting ribonucleotides (NTP) into deoxyribonucleotides (dNTP), essential for DNA replication and repair. Elevated RRM1 expression is associated with various human cancers, correlating with poorer prognosis and reduced overall survival rates. Our previous study found that RRM1 will enter the nucleus to promote DNA damage repair.
