The kidney disease: improving global outcome (KDIGO) and pediatric reference change value optimized for acute kidney injury (pROCK) criteria were used to evaluate the incidence, stages and mortality of acute kidney injury (AKI). The differences between the 2 criteria were compared for exploring the value of pROCK criteria in diagnosing pediatric AKI and predicting adverse outcomes. In the multicenter prospective clinical cohort study, we collected general data and clinical data such as serum creatinine values from 1 120 children admitted to 4 PICUs of Children's Hospital of Soochow University, Children's Hospital of Fudan University, Anhui Provincial Children's Hospital, and Xuzhou Children's Hospital from September 2019 to February 2021.

Introduction: This study (HARMONi-5) aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of ivonescimab (a bispecific antibody against programmed cell death protein 1 and vascular endothelial growth factor) as first- or second-line monotherapy in patients with advanced immunotherapy-naive NSCLC.
Methods: Eligible patients received intravenous ivonescimab 10 mg/kg every 3 weeks (Q3W), 20 mg/kg every 2 weeks (Q2W), 20 mg/kg Q3W, or 30 mg/kg Q3W. The primary end points were safety and objective response rate (ORR) per Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors version 1.

Studies on odor are not negligible in the human milk (HM) science field because it plays an irreplaceable role in the feeding process of infants. This study aimed to investigate the odor skeleton components (OSCs) in HM and verify and construct an intuitive link between them and the HM odor attributes. A total of 72 odor-active compounds were identified from 32 HMs using the comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography-olfactometry-mass spectrometry.

Aim: To explore the effect of visual perception learning software training (VPT) on binocular visual function reconstruction in children with intermittent exotropia after strabismus surgery.
Methods: Ninety children with intermittent exotropia admitted to our hospital from June 2018 to December 2018 were included, and randomly divided into VPT and control groups. Children in the control group received basic binocular vision training, while those in the VPT group received VPT after strabismus surgery.

Objective: To investigate the effectiveness of medial and lateral column periosteal hinge reconstruction using Kirschner wire in the closed reduction of multi-directional unstable humeral supracondylar fractures in children.
Methods: A clinical data of 43 children with multi-direction unstable humeral supracondylar fractures, who met the selection criteria and were admitted between August 2020 and August 2022, was retrospectively analyzed. Twenty-one cases of fractures were treated wuth closed reduction after medial and lateral column periosteal hinge reconstruction using Kirschner wire and percutaneous Kirschner wires fixation (study group), while 22 cases of fractures were treated by traditional closed reduction technique and percutaneous Kirschner wire fixation (control group).

Kidney disease can be caused by various internal and external factors that have led to a continual increase in global deaths. Current treatment methods can alleviate but do not markedly prevent disease development. Further research on kidney disease has revealed the crucial function of epigenetics, especially acetylation, in the pathology and physiology of the kidney.

This study aimed to map the hub genes and potential pathways that might be involved in the molecular pathogenesis of EGFR-TKI resistance in NSCLC. We performed bioinformatics analysis to identify differentially expressed genes, their function, gene interactions, and pathway analysis between EGFR-TKI-sensitive and EGFR-TKI-resistant patient-derived xenotransplantation samples based on Gene Expression Omnibus database. Survival analysis was performed via the GEPIA database (GEO).

This article reports a case of tumor necrosis factor receptor-associated periodic syndrome (TRAPS) misdiagnosed as Kawasaki disease and summarizes the clinical features and therapeutic progress of TRAPS and the relationship between its clinical manifestations and gene mutations. We retrospectively analyzed a patient with tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 1A (TNFRSF1A) -mutated auto-inflammatory disease who was misdiagnosed with Kawasaki disease in another hospital. The clinical features and therapeutic progress of TRAPS were analyzed by combining clinical features and gene reports of this case and literature review.

Cushing's disease is a rare neuroendocrine disorder with excessive endogenous cortisol, impaired cognition, and psychiatric symptoms. Evidence from resting-state fMRI revealed the abnormalities of static brain connectivity in patients with Cushing's disease (CD patients). However, it is unknown whether the CD patients' dynamic functional connectivity would be abnormal and whether the dynamic features are associated with deficits in cognition and psychopathological symptoms.

Background: First-generation ABL-targeted tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) imatinib is known to retard growth in children but it is not known if the second-generation ABL-targeted TKI dasatinib has the same effect. We aimed to determine the impact of the first- or second-generation TKI on the growth of children treated for Philadelphia chromosome-positive (Ph) childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL).
Methods: We evaluated the longitudinal growth changes in 140 children with Ph ALL treated with imatinib or dasatinib in additional to intensive cytotoxic chemotherapy and 280 matched controls treated with the same intensity of cytotoxic chemotherapy without TKI on Chinese Children's Cancer Group ALL-2015 protocol between 2015 and 2019.

Owing to societal development and aging population, the impact of cancer on human health and quality of life has increased. Early detection and surgical treatment are the most effective approaches for most cancer patients. As the scope of conventional tumor resection is determined by auxiliary examination and surgeon experience, there is often insufficient recognition of tiny tumors.
