The kidney disease: improving global outcome (KDIGO) and pediatric reference change value optimized for acute kidney injury (pROCK) criteria were used to evaluate the incidence, stages and mortality of acute kidney injury (AKI). The differences between the 2 criteria were compared for exploring the value of pROCK criteria in diagnosing pediatric AKI and predicting adverse outcomes. In the multicenter prospective clinical cohort study, we collected general data and clinical data such as serum creatinine values from 1 120 children admitted to 4 PICUs of Children's Hospital of Soochow University, Children's Hospital of Fudan University, Anhui Provincial Children's Hospital, and Xuzhou Children's Hospital from September 2019 to February 2021.

  • * Results indicate that both the positivity rate and geometric mean concentration (GMC) of HBsAb increased with each vaccine dose, peaking after the third dose, with a 100% positivity rate observed between 11 and 90 days post-vaccination.
  • * Although HBsAb levels are maintained at over 90% positivity and a GMC above 100 mIU/mL within the first year, they gradually decline, with the lowest values recorded by the 9th and

  • Triiodothyronine (T3) is important for understanding pregnancy outcomes, but its relationship with adverse obstetric events is not well explored.
  • A study examined the effects of gestational free and total T3 levels on issues like preeclampsia and preterm birth using data from over 33,000 mother-child pairs.
  • The results revealed complex associations between T3 levels and various risks, indicating that while TT3 may relate to certain outcomes, routine measurements during pregnancy might not significantly improve risk assessment for adverse outcomes.

Studies on odor are not negligible in the human milk (HM) science field because it plays an irreplaceable role in the feeding process of infants. This study aimed to investigate the odor skeleton components (OSCs) in HM and verify and construct an intuitive link between them and the HM odor attributes. A total of 72 odor-active compounds were identified from 32 HMs using the comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography-olfactometry-mass spectrometry.

Objective: To investigate the effectiveness of medial and lateral column periosteal hinge reconstruction using Kirschner wire in the closed reduction of multi-directional unstable humeral supracondylar fractures in children.

Methods: A clinical data of 43 children with multi-direction unstable humeral supracondylar fractures, who met the selection criteria and were admitted between August 2020 and August 2022, was retrospectively analyzed. Twenty-one cases of fractures were treated wuth closed reduction after medial and lateral column periosteal hinge reconstruction using Kirschner wire and percutaneous Kirschner wires fixation (study group), while 22 cases of fractures were treated by traditional closed reduction technique and percutaneous Kirschner wire fixation (control group).

Inflammation and Immune Mediated Diseases Laboratory of Anhui Province, the Key Laboratory of Anti-inflammatory of Immune Medicines, Ministry of Education, Anhui Institute of Innovative Drugs, School of Pharmacy, Anhui Medical University, Hefei 230032, China. Electronic address:

Kidney disease can be caused by various internal and external factors that have led to a continual increase in global deaths. Current treatment methods can alleviate but do not markedly prevent disease development. Further research on kidney disease has revealed the crucial function of epigenetics, especially acetylation, in the pathology and physiology of the kidney.

Department of Pediatric Orthopedics, Anhui Provincial Children's Hospital, No. 39 Wangjiang East Road, Hefei, 230061, Anhui, People's Republic of China.

Purpose: We explored the risk factors for avascular necrosis (AVN) after surgery using open reduction, pelvic osteotomy, and femoral osteotomy for Tönnis grade IV developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH).

Methods: In this retrospective study, we collected data of patients with Tönnis grade IV DDH treated with open reduction and pelvic osteotomy combined with femoral osteotomy from January 2012 to May 2020. The patients were divided into the AVN group and non-AVN group using the Kalamchi-MacEwen classification system.

This study aimed to map the hub genes and potential pathways that might be involved in the molecular pathogenesis of EGFR-TKI resistance in NSCLC. We performed bioinformatics analysis to identify differentially expressed genes, their function, gene interactions, and pathway analysis between EGFR-TKI-sensitive and EGFR-TKI-resistant patient-derived xenotransplantation samples based on Gene Expression Omnibus database. Survival analysis was performed via the GEPIA database (GEO).

Cushing's disease is a rare neuroendocrine disorder with excessive endogenous cortisol, impaired cognition, and psychiatric symptoms. Evidence from resting-state fMRI revealed the abnormalities of static brain connectivity in patients with Cushing's disease (CD patients). However, it is unknown whether the CD patients' dynamic functional connectivity would be abnormal and whether the dynamic features are associated with deficits in cognition and psychopathological symptoms.

Background: First-generation ABL-targeted tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) imatinib is known to retard growth in children but it is not known if the second-generation ABL-targeted TKI dasatinib has the same effect. We aimed to determine the impact of the first- or second-generation TKI on the growth of children treated for Philadelphia chromosome-positive (Ph) childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL).

Methods: We evaluated the longitudinal growth changes in 140 children with Ph ALL treated with imatinib or dasatinib in additional to intensive cytotoxic chemotherapy and 280 matched controls treated with the same intensity of cytotoxic chemotherapy without TKI on Chinese Children's Cancer Group ALL-2015 protocol between 2015 and 2019.

Owing to societal development and aging population, the impact of cancer on human health and quality of life has increased. Early detection and surgical treatment are the most effective approaches for most cancer patients. As the scope of conventional tumor resection is determined by auxiliary examination and surgeon experience, there is often insufficient recognition of tiny tumors.
