Treatment of avulsion fracture of posterior cruciate ligament tibial insertion by minimally invasive approach in posterior medial knee.

Objective: The study aims to explore the feasibility and clinical effect of posterior minimally invasive treatment of cruciate ligament tibial avulsion fracture.

Methods: Posterior knee minimally invasive approach was used to treat avulsion fracture of posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) tibia in 15 males and 11 females. The length of the incision, intraoperative blood loss, operation time, postoperative hospital stay, residual relaxation, and fracture healing time were analyzed to evaluate the curative effect, learning curve, and advantages of the new technology.

Effects of NIX-mediated mitophagy on ox-LDL-induced macrophage pyroptosis in atherosclerosis.

Pyroptosis is a form of cell death that is uniquely dependent on caspase-1. Pyroptosis involved in oxidized low-density lipoprotein (ox-LDL)-induced human macrophage death through the promotion of caspase-1 activation is important for the formation of unstable plaques in atherosclerosis. The mitochondrial outer membrane protein NIX directly interacts with microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3 (LC3).

Randomized trial of umbilical incisional hernia in high-risk patients: extraction of gallbladder through subxiphoid port vs. umbilical port after laparoscopic cholecystectomy.

Introduction: Trocar site incisional hernia (TSIH) is one of the most common complications of laparoscopic surgery. Using the umbilical port as a common hole for removing the gallbladder in laparoscopic cholecystectomy is more likely to lead to TSIH than other ports. Thus, extracting the gallbladder through other ports may reduce the incidence of TSIH.
