European consensus-based interdisciplinary guideline for melanoma. Part 2: Treatment - Update 2024.

A unique collaboration of multi-disciplinary experts from the European Association of Dermato-Oncology (EADO), the European Dermatology Forum (EDF), and the European Organization of Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) was formed to make recommendations on cutaneous melanoma diagnosis and treatment, based on systematic literature reviews and the experts' experience. Cutaneous melanomas are excised with one to two-centimeter safety margins. For a correct stage classification and treatment decision, a sentinel lymph node biopsy shall be offered in patients with tumor thickness ≥ 1.

European S2k guidelines for hidradenitis suppurativa/acne inversa part 2: Treatment.

Introduction: This second part of the S2k guidelines is an update of the 2015 S1 European guidelines.

Objective: These guidelines aim to provide an accepted decision aid for the selection, implementation and assessment of appropriate and sufficient therapy for patients with hidradenitis suppurativa/acne inversa (HS).

Methods: The chapters have been selected after a Delphi procedure among the experts/authors.

Clinical features, treatment options and outcomes in primary cutaneous B-cell lymphomas: a real-world, multicenter, retrospective study.

Background: Primary cutaneous B-cell lymphomas (PCBCLs) are rare cutaneous neoplasms with limited literature regarding treatment options and associated treatment outcomes. This study aimed to investigate and present real-world treatment outcomes in patients with PCBCLs.

Methods: All patients with PCBCL who were treated in five major referral centers for cutaneous lymphoma in Greece over 10 years were retrospectively included with their baseline characteristics and treatment-associated outcomes collected and analyzed.

Psychopathological Profile of Patients with Moderate-to-Severe Plaque Psoriasis and Its Correlation to DLQI: Results from a Prospective, Monocentric Clinical Study.

: Psoriasis is associated with a high psychological burden and comorbidities, such as depression and anxiety. The aim of this study was to evaluate the psychopathological profile of patients with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis under systemic treatment and to explore the association between DLQI and alexithymia, depression, and other psychopathological disorders. : In this monocentric, prospective clinical study, 104 adult patients with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis were evaluated according to the disease severity (measured by PASI) influence of psoriasis on their quality of life (measured by DLQI) and their psychopathological profile (measured by the BDI, TAS-20, and SCL-90 questionnaires).

Melasma: A Clinical and Epidemiological Single-Group Observational Study in the Greek Population.

Introduction: Melasma is a common acquired disorder of melanogenesis that predominately affects women and presents as hyperpigmented skin lesions mainly located on the face. The study aims to investigate the epidemiologic characteristics and hormonal profiles in melasma patients.

Methods: One hundred fifty patients were enrolled in this study in a tertiary care hospital.

Effectiveness of cellulite treatment with combined enzymatic therapy.

Introduction: Cellulite, also known as edematous fibrosclerotic panniculopathy (EFP), affects up to 90% of women and has a significant aesthetic impact. EFP is a multifactorial condition characterized by local circulatory changes, increased adipose tissue thickness, and a fibrotic response involving thick collagen bundles and septa, driven by local hypoxia. Although numerous treatments exist, their effects are typically temporary.

The Impact of Immune Checkpoint Inhibitors-Induced Skin Toxicity on Patients Quality of Life and the Role of Dermatologic Intervention.

Introduction: Data regarding quality of life (QoL) of oncologic patients experiencing dermatologic immune-related adverse events (dirAEs) and their course after dermatologic intervention are scarce.

Objectives: To assess the impact of dirAEs on patients QoL and to investigate the correlation between dermatologic and oncologic indexes used for estimating QoL.

Methods: We enrolled oncologic patients with dirAEs managed in two supportive onco-dermatology outpatient clinics in Greece.
