Zinc Oxide (ZnO) is currently used in nano-cosmeceuticals and nano-pharmaceuticals topically due to their multifunctional efficiency irrespective of the synthetic method. Bio-reducers are cosmopolitically famed to attain stable, reliable, and toxic free synthesis. Thus, the objective of the current study is to prepare ZnO NPs in a greener approach using Annona squamosa (AS) leaf extract and to evaluate their antibiotic potentiation capacity and anticancer activity.

Adenosine receptors (ARs) belongs to the family of G-protein coupled receptors (GPCR) that are responsible for the modulation of a wide variety of physiological functions. The ARs are also implicated in many diseases such as cancer, arthritis, cardiovascular and renal diseases. The adenosine A3 receptor (A3AR) has emerged as a potential drug target for the progress of new and effective therapeutic agents for the treatment of various pathological conditions.

Background: Adenosine mediates various physiological and pathological conditions by acting on its four P1 receptors (A1, A2A, A2B and A3 receptors). Omnipresence of P1 receptors and their activation, exert a wide range of biological activities. Thus, its modulation is implicated in various disorders like Parkinson's disease, asthma, cardiovascular disorders, cancer etc.

The acidic and non-acidic fractions of gum resin extracts were combined to prepare a unique product, LI13019F1 (Serratrin). The present series of studies evaluated LI13019F1 for acute and subchronic (28-day) toxicity in Wistar rats and acute dermal and eye irritation in New Zealand white rabbits. The mutagenicity and clastogenicity of LI13019F1 were evaluated in bacteria and mouse bone marrow erythrocytes, respectively.

In this paper, we discuss spatially homogeneous and anisotropic Bianchi type-V dark energy cosmological model in the presence of an attractive massive scalar field in general relativity. We have solved the field equations using (i) the shear scalar of the metric is proportional to the expansion scalar which results a relationship between metric potentials and (ii) a power law between the massive scalar field and the average scale factor. We have computed the cosmological parameters like dark energy density, equation of state parameter, skewness parameters, deceleration parameter and statefinder parameters of our dark energy model with massive strings and discussed their physical significance in the light of the recent scenario of accelerated expansion of the universe and cosmological observations.

N-acetyl-p-benzoquinoneimine (NAPQI) is toxic metabolite of paracetamol formed primarily by cytochrome P4502E1 (CYP2E1) metabolic pathway when administered at therapeutic doses or overdose. The influence of quercetin (flavonoid) on the bioactivation of paracetamol to NAPQI was investigated using rat liver microsomes and rats in vivo. Paracetamol (80 mg/kg) was administered orally without or with silymarin (100 mg/kg), a known inhibitor of CYP2E1, CYP3A4 and quercetin (10 and 20 mg/kg) to rats for 15 consecutive days.

Inflammatory bowel disease is an umbrella-term used to describe a set of chronic inflammatory conditions that affect the gastro-intestinal tract. Since most of the inflammatory medications in current use have several undesirable side-effects, stevioside, a naturally occurring, high-intensity sweetener was assessed in our study for its anti-inflammatory properties by in-vitro and in-vivo experiments. Stevioside was observed to significantly inhibit the levels of LPS induced elevation of cytokines, TNF-α (P < 0.

Background: Enough evidence exists to attribute the occurrence of diarrheal disease outbreaks due to open defecation practice and unsafe sanitation methods. Open defecation enables pathogens such as virus, bacteria, and protozoa to infect humans by means of fecal-oral transmission methods through contaminated fluids, water, and fomites. To curb the malefic effects of open defecation, the Indian government had initiated pro sanitation program namely Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) in 2014.

The community structure of testate amoebae inhabiting different microhabitats (soil and tree-moss) within a tropical forest biome in Nameri National Park, northeastern India, was investigated. A total of 33 testate amoebae species belonging to 13 genera were identified. Species belonging to the class Lobosea constituted 73% of total testate amoebae density in the soil habitat, whereas the class Filosea constituted the most dominant forms (58%) in the moist tree-moss habitat.

The aim of the research work is to study the degradation behaviour of Ibrutinib (IBN) which is performed under different stress conditions according to International Conference on Harmonization guidelines (ICH). The study included monitoring degradation of the Ibrutinib drug under acidic, base, oxidation, thermal and photolytic conditions followed by isolation and characterisation of degradation products (DP) by Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (LCMS), High resolution Mass Spectrometry (HR-MS/MS) and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) studies. The IBN drug is stable under oxidation, thermal and photolytic conditions.

Introduction: Numerous studies have been investigated to understand the association between glutathione S-transferase P1 (GSTP1) polymorphism and risk of head and neck cancer (HNC) but yielded contradictory results, and no studies could confirm polymorphism in GSTP1 and that tobacco usage increases the risk of HNCs. Therefore, this study aimed to understand the association of GSTP1 Ile105Val polymorphism with or without tobacco usage in carcinogenesis and clinicopathological characteristics of patients with HNC.
Materials And Methods: Binary logistic regression analysis was performed to predict HNC risk with tobacco use and GSTP1 genotyping.

Changes in sea level may be attributed either to barotropic (involving the entire water column) or baroclinic processes (governed by stratification). It has been widely accepted that barotropic sea level changes in the tropics are insignificant at intraseasonal time scales (periods of 30-80 days). Based on bottom pressure records, we present evidence for significant basin-wide barotropic sea level variability in the tropical Indian Ocean during December-April with standard deviations amounting to ∼30-60% of the standard deviation in total intraseasonal sea level variability.
