Introduction: Most newly diagnosed cancers occur in older adults, and it is important to understand a patient's underlying health status when making treatment decisions. Therefore, clinicians need enhanced competencies and skills to effectively care for this population. However, most clinicians receive minimal to no training in geriatrics.

The real-world outcomes of Lutetium-177 PSMA-617 radioligand therapy in metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer: Turkish Oncology Group multicenter study.

Metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) remains a challenging condition to treat despite recent advancements. This retrospective study aimed to assess the activity and tolerability of Lutetium-177 (Lu-177) PSMA-617 radioligand therapy (RLT) in mCRPC patients across multiple cancer centers in Turkey. The study included 165 patients who received at least one cycle of Lu-177 PSMA-617 RLT, with the majority having bone metastases and undergone prior treatments.

Comparison of infants and children with urolithiasis: a large case series.

We evaluated the demographic features, etiologic risk factors, treatment strategies, and outcome of the infants and children with urolithiasis (UL). A retrospective multicenter study was conducted including 23 Pediatric Nephrology centers in Turkey. The medical records of 2513 children with UL were reviewed.

Postgraduate education needs of Nurses' who are caregivers for patients with diabetes.

Objective: Diabetic management process requires nurses with expert knowledge and patient care skills. This study was carried out to identify nurses' diabetic care approaches and their post graduate education needs in order to develop a "Basic Diabetes Patient Care Education Program" in a university hospital in Turkey.

Methods: The descriptive study, using the survey technique, was carried out in a university hospital with 87 bedside nurses who were caring for diabetic patients.

The effects of tissue fixation alternatives on DNA content: a study on normal colon tissue.

The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of different fixatives on DNA, and to evaluate the fixation options for molecular studies including polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and fluorescence in-situ hybridization (FISH). Three normal-looking colonic segments from surgical resections were used for tissue sampling. The full thickness of the colonic tissues (3 mm diameter) was sampled.
